as a lifelong orcs/goblins player, i love randomness. but the key is that the randomness should be that when it works out the end result should not be the equivalent of what others get baseline.

Exactly my thoughts when I look Skavens abilities ! Randomness means spikes in BOTH ways, good and bad.

This preview displayed a trend I'm seeing in a less random recursion for 4th ed. Considering how few CP we get I think it's an overall win.

Minor gripe. If both armies are gitz the moon should just stay in the middle all game, instead of helping one player based on a random roll.

I'm not convinced control score matters yet, maybe on the edges, but with smaller objectives, and no consolidation moves I think its very possible to just zone enemy units off objectives entirely. Like if all 20 grots are on an objective your opponent probably can't get onto it,

20 grots have 40 control score, they can overscore most units.. but for sure zoning out of objective is much more possibile than before based on objective size, the unit must still resist considering the power through command

Battle trait stuff should never be a chance to happen, or just stop. It's always a feels bad with that stuff.

For sure the biggest let down of all the faction previews so far, but I'm hopeful that it'll all shake out when we see how the whole army plays.

Funny thing is, this preview wasn’t even bad just disappointing, warscrolls and sub factions looked ok, it’s just the bad moon’s mechanics that suck

@@samuelmitchell1700 Squig herd's attacks were made worse in addition to losing a health. They only do mortals on a 5+ instead of a 3+ when they die and the model has to be within 3" to do the damage instead of the unit needing to be within 3". Skragrott was nerfed a bit too. Troggoth's attacks are worse. Almost everything was downgraded just a little bit. He doesn't much go into it here, but if you did a side by side it would be sadder on the warscroll front.
