Dumpster Cam, that ceramic strawberry is a vintage jar, missing the lid. It was used for jams, etc. I have several, and use them in my kitchen decor with vintage cookie jars. The jars also come in apple colors and shape. Maybe some company is reproducing them now, I don't know. My mother had both the strawberry and apple jars when I was growing up, and I am 79 years young. I enjoy you videos.

The Palmini Company also make pasta shapes, like spaghetti, lasagna sheets, linguini, etc. It is for low carbers, I have bought it before. Use just like rice or pasta. Very pricey though.

Yes, Cam is back!! Summer is supposed to be for fun. Glad you had outings & change of pace. It's good to get off the block. Great haul, Cam. Thrift stuff is awesome. I think ceramic house was a cookie jar, now missing lid. Will be great planter or remote holder on endtable. I'm toying with doing sourdough starter myself. I'll follow you so it doesn't seem so daunting. You are a great teacher, learn so much from your endeavors! Thank you, Cam!!

I thought I would share this recipe for apple sauce cinnamon cut in any cookie cutters; this time of year when we close up the house is a good time to make for thanksgiving or gifts or later for I hang where we hang our coats and also Christmas tree ornaments: CINNAMON ORNAMENTS 3/4 cup applesauce • 2 bottles (2.37 oz. each) McCormick® Ground Cinnamon • Cookie cutters • Drinking straw • Colorful ribbon • Preheat oven to 200°F. Mix applesauce and cinnamon in small bowl until a smooth ball of dough is formed. (You may need use your hands to incorporate all of the cinnamon.) Using about 1/4 of the dough at a time, roll dough to 1/4-inch to 1/3-inch thickness between two sheets of plastic wrap. Peel off top sheet of plastic wrap. Cut dough into desired shapes with 2- to 3-inch cookie cutters. Make a hole at top of ornament with drinking straw or skewer. Place ornaments on baking sheet. • Bake 2 1/2 hours. Cool ornaments on wire rack. (Or, to dry ornaments at room temperature, carefully place them on wire rack. Let stand 1 to 2 days or until thoroughly dry, turning occasionally.) • Insert ribbon through holes and tie to hang. Decorate with opaque paint markers, found in arts and crafts stores, if desired. Making ornaments with this dough is a lot of fun and the result smells delightful! 1 1/2 cups applesauce to 2 cups cinnamon works for me to get a clay-like consistency. Dust hands with cinnamon for handling. You can add a teaspoon of cloves, ginger and allspice to round out the fragrance. To get them dry quicker, bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 150 degrees for one hour. Remove from the cookie sheets and bake on the oven racks for another hour and a half. (Don't roll thinner than 1/4 inch if you're using this method.)

Sometimes they stop laying when the weather starts to change. Less daylight and theyll stop or slow. Or when molting. Or if she's broody. Ive experienced all these at different times with different hens. Theyre very moody lol

Chickens will molt their feathers once a year and stop giving eggs during that time. As you use eggs save the shells and give them back to the chickens. They need r the calcium back in their system.

When you take it out of the package the hearts of palm rice look really nasty. When I make them I put them in a hot frying pan with some olive and toast them like you would nuts. That I either add garlic powder or cinnamon and sugar and then I add them to either salads or. Once their toasted they look really good and they taste really good

Thanks for the great video! Are you giving your chickens crushed oyster shells and grit? Also she could be eating her egg. These are some things that can effect our egg production. So glad that you posted!
@DumpsterCam
9 ай бұрын
Yes, but I only give them oyster shell maybe once a week, as the eggs were starting to get that extra calcium build up on the outside. Would there be signs if she was eating her eggs? I havent seen any yolk or shell leftovers or anything. Would she only eat her own? I've tried to keep an eye on her and havent seen her in the nesting box at all

Do you literally just take stuff from dumpsters? That's theft. I understand that retail stores throw products away. Stores should donate products instead of throwing everything away. You are trespassing. The store pays to have a dumpster. This is illegal. I have no idea why I had a video of yours on my feed. Someone should report you.
@DumpsterCam
7 ай бұрын
It is not theft or illegal unless there is a lock on the dumpster, or a no trespassing sign. In my city, it is absolutely legal to take things once they have been discarded into a dumpster. I have spoken to many police officers about this. No need to watch my videos if you don't want to
