Thank you for this great step by step demo, and reminder to keep hold of the lil hose clamp (hate when things fall down in awkward spots). Great insight! Clear instructions. Thank you Fixer-of-all-Things!

Hey thanks for the video. Was put together well and clear. If I can give you some feedback I noticed you had an extension on your torque wrench, anytime you use an extension it will lower the torque at the socket, there is a formula for the size of extension you use if you Google it. But great video!

just spent too many hours trying to swap this. it's worth it in the end. I had a bolt snap on the passenger side (15mm) m8 x 1.25 30mm length. I was tempted to just let it be like that but decided not to. The bolt and washer was only like $4 at lowes. You will most likely need to run to the auto parts store if you live somewhere where rust exist. have a spare car/mcycle ready. Get the irwin extractor in advance. the battery tray bolt 13mm was done. good luck.

Great video thank you! You made what I thought was going to be a tough job very easy. Looking forward to some more Transit Connect videos. I'm currently having problems with my left turn signal assembly not making good contact with the housing. I've bent the little ears out and in and it works for a while then stops. Not sure where to go from here. Thanks and again great video.

Thanks for the suggestion. If mine starts to go south, I'll do a video. The next project on mine is the driver's door switch going bad. Close the door and the lights stay on. That's just annoying but the bigger problem is that I can't always lock my van.

This is excellent! I’ve got the vibration in my 2010 TC. Looks like the hydraulic, right side mount is leaking. That would be it right? Should I be planning on just going ahead and replacing all three mounts?

sorry one more question. Ford has the hydraulic mount (front right) for me, but the guy doesn't have anything listed for the front left. Said maybe it's a transmission mount. Not much help. It definitely looks different. Can you tell me what it's called? thanks again
@TheFixerofAllThings

I would definitely replace all three at the same time because if one is loose, it will put strain on the others, possibly ruining the new one you put in. I don't believe there is a hydraulic for the other side. Thanks for the comments.

Thanks! I just used the local auto parts store. As I mention in the video, some suppliers include the tower on the mount and some don't so be sure to ask. The ones that don't include it will cost less but it's a bit of work to r&r it to the new mount so I chose the supplier that included it.

i have a 2013 connect..i got lucky, it only had 32K on it..it's like new..hardly used. I have 42K on it now...it belonged to an insurance company..Do these vans naturally vibrate a lot..? the motor mounts seem fine. nothing falling apart, no leaks. I'm just curious...
@TheFixerofAllThings

This is only my personal opinion but I think this powertrain vibrates more than most. I've heard others say it too. Thanks for watching. I may do a follow up video on vibration since mine is vibrating again with only a year on new mounts. Hit the subscribe button and we can all learn about this together. Thanks.

@@TheFixerofAllThings >> I have another question that i cannot seem to find an answer for related to this van... I need to replace the thermostat. It takes over 20 min for the heat to start getting warm, I can let it idle for over 15 min and the heat is barely luke warm,, I am able to change the thermostat with no worries, but i cannot get an answer if i can refill the system without using some sort of vacuum device that they recommend. I know many places use the vacuum system to get the job done faster, But can i do this the traditional way ? fill, let it warm up,,,check level,,fill more as needed...same as you would an older car...Seems that no one can answer this...
