I remember his mother at Ringside...She was tougher then all the kids. He was entertaining as hell though...When he was fighting you knew you were going to get action...I remember that Caveman win televised. That’s when I took him real seriously..always fun to watch...Sooo many wars...Thanks, Blood...

I viewd fletcher bouts on live TV. He was a all time favorite. He always was ready to fight.this video brought back great memories from my young days growing up in the garage when my homeboys would all hang out to watch the fight.people loved him also in East Los Angeles ca.we still mention him .the garage is now a apartment my mom's is finally making money off it.i had it good in the garage.nbc liked the ,animal, Philly fighter with guts.had a homeboy named Eddie the animal Lopez light heavyweight solid contender.he was also ugly, with all due respect.hang in ther fletcher .you are not a quiter that I remember of.and I think that you would have given Hagler some lumps also.bad to the bones frank animal fletcher

Good documentary work on Frank "The Animal" Fletcher, Blood and I admired the Philly middleweights like "Bad" Bennie, Willie "The Worm" Monroe, Bobby "Boogaloo" Watts, Eugene "Cyclone" Hart, Stanley "Kitten" Hayward, Gypsy Joe Harris and the man should had a great career in James "Black Gold" Shuler had he wasn't killed in a motorcycle accident a week after his only loss in the first round by the legendary Thomas "The Hitman" Hearns. Hope you find the article from your Ring Magazines about Shuler and make a documentary about him. As for Fletcher, had he beat one of Hagler's challengers, the Marvelous One would be another level and be too much for the Animal to overcome. I'm strongly agree with you Blood, Fletcher would put a good effort in a slugfest against Hagler, but Hagler would figure out and TKO him between rounds 5 to 7. Keep up and good job Blood.

Great piece on Fletcher. One of the toughest and hardest men to step into the ring. It's a shame he had to pull out of a fight against Mark Kaylor. That would've been the fight of the 80's.

Great video, thankx man. in my opinion Hagler’s entourage has just……..avoided Fletcher. Fighting this guy it could have been really risky for Marvin…you never know when you face this kind of “different” human beeing: it does nor feel the pain nor the fatigue…HE WAS A REAL BEAST. Again,I think the Dundees has preferred to look somewhere else and protect Marvin.

Curtis Parker was a much better Philly Fighter than Fletcher!! Just bad that Curtis Parker at 17-0 went up against Dwight Davison, Hamsho Twice, Wilford Scypion, and other Top Rated Fighters without any easy Fights in between, bad management, and not Willie Reddish!!
