If you eat and throw a mango seed anywhere in India it just pops up as a plant. That's how easy it's to grow in India. No hassles. It's a very easy tree to grow. But with right environment.

Are you dumb or what?? People do this thing is to plant it safely indoor. Of course he can plant this tree outside their home too. But they have problem with the seasons. And some squirrel and stuff maybe. Why so many overproud indians on internet?? Like..your nation is not that fertile. If want to talk about fertile and diverse land, look at indonesia. Volcanoes everywhere and truly diverse. More diverse than india.

@goodgreatfreeforever6188 it sprouted within a few weeks. We're in South Orange County, CA. I think it was summer when she planted it in a little pot outside. It's been about a year and a half it's maybe 18" tall now. I planted it in our native clay soil recently and it hasn't grown much since, but I'm thinking it'll probably gain some height over the summer

I never took the pit off the shell before to grow a Mango tree. I just opened a hole on the soil, put the whole seed in it, and covered with soil. There, you have a mango seed that will grow into an amazing tree now. I grew up in El Salvador and that is how it is done. No fancy preparation at all. It might just take a little longer for the twig to appear, but it surely will grow. The tropical weather is such a generous place to plant. Just throw a fruit seed on the soil, and it would not disappoint😊

If the plants from which you are getting the seeds are GMO, it's very likely that the tree will not produce any fruit. That's how GMO "protects their investment". I call it population control. Furthermore, you might even get into legal hot water for doing so if it's GMO because then it's patented and protected. Ain't that a kick in the teeth? A farmer once was sued by the GMO company, (and lost), because his corn crop was fertilized by the neighbors GMO corn which meant his crop had GMO genetic markers...

Nobody grows Mango from seeds. A seed takes 8 years to become a full grown tree and start fruiting. And still that tree needs Grafting to get the desired mango breed. So if someone wants to plant a mango tree then buy a grafted plant and it will give fruits the next year.
