At our recent "meet-up" we looked at few invasions, stable border, seonbi culture, and government by educated men. We also looked at the longest unbroken chain slavery as the downside of long stable dynasties. We see stability in that royal tombs. were not robbed. And Korea left primitive feudalism behind long ago when for 1000 years government officials were hired on the basis of passing an exam. All of these evidences shout out the peaceful traditions of Korea.
