Reality check: Police falsely accuse and execute black men letting real criminals go free, men can beat their wife, the police will never arrest them for it because they get it. Women get married and have to vow to serve and obey their husband "till death do you part" but the husband can go and screw his secretary. Drinking and driving is fine if you can basically stand up and walk a few steps without hitting the ground. Seat belts are made to be bottle openers too. I'll stop before all the wife abuse and drugging that inspired a feminist horror "The Stepford Wives". Every family is dysfunctional. It looked nice, but what didn't the police beat out of town. They were all crazy! Oh yeah, they used leaded gas until scientists sounded the alarm, every single human had their IQ lowered via the lead! (Most Certified airplanes still use leaded gas) You see I'm up late too, but remembering the "good old days" when my mother was asking for help and got Valium, Queludes and stuff while men got the royal treatment to be sure they were alright. At least the acid was cheap and potent! ( and less toxic than tap water! Chemical Abstracts is the source via "Ergot" th4e mold they made LSD with) My parents would not let me hike to Woodstock from Ontario Canada, and I was already 11, big ass fight lasted days. I hope that put you to sleep! Night night. Like the ex said, "oh oh, here come more tales from the crip" (bad back)

Isn’t that the truth even the criminals had class. I try to dress nice every day a dress shirt and a pair of dockers on the weekends a pair of doctors and a nice weekend shirt shave seven days a week I guess I’m old fashion. I heard a story about 30 years ago that when men and women get married after a few years they stop trying to look nice for their spouses and I figured if I always tried to look my best when I was courting my wife I’ll always try to look nice for her every day, I still buy her flowers hold her hand, and this is going to sound really old fashion but I still open doors for her it’s amazing how her friends react the first time they see it they’re like wow to me it’s just being a gentleman. I open the door for her when we first started dating trying to make a good impression and never stops, I open the doors for my daughters for my mom and for any woman and believe it or not they are always appreciative being a gentleman never goes out of style.

We did look older and not just that, we were more mature at 16 than most 25 year olds today. Just remember, the food supply has all kinds of un~natural things in it today. Hormones, steroids and all that helps with the way we look today as compared with 1950's & 1960's. Hell a 16 year old back then was more mature than most of the 30 year olds today. Just watch Maury,Steve and more shows like that.

I am old enough to remember what they taste like. Back in the 40's/50's...for the most part, children were NOT allowed to drink Coke/Pepsi, because they were waaaaaayyyyyy more stronger than they are today. When you drank one of these so-called soft drinks back then; ALL of your senses would cringe just by the force of their potency. As a child, getting a few sips or swallows of Coke/Pepsi was a real treat. My parents did not allow us to drink any of it; because my father almost died from poisoning, after drinking a Coke that was found to have a rusty hairpin in the bottom of the bottle. Of course he didn't know it was in there until the bottle was empty. He kept the bottle with the hairpin still in it; and went to the doctor about an hour later as he started feeling dizzy and nauseous. Thank God for giving my father and family a medical, saving MIRACLE! WTBS...as long as we lived in his house we were NOT allowed to drink that stuff....maybe that's why I am so addicted today as a 71 year old grandmother...LOL!

I like how that grocery store manager describes the woman as, “She wasn’t bad, a brunette, and about twenty-eight I guess”. That worn out dame was pushing at least forty and wasn’t much to gawk at by any stretch of the imagination. Now my idea of good looking gal that I would have like to have pursued if I had been around back then can be seen at 17:45 in an episode called “Frightened Witness”, which likewise is available on youtube. That in my opinion is what I would call a pretty woman. I guess it all depends on how low a person is willing to go in their appreciation of the opposite sex. Interestingly in real life Crawford was a hard drinker who had been busted for several DUI's. His license was suspended and he could only drive while filming if it was on a private road. Dialog had to be done by noon or it wouldn't get done.

nothing about any of that ruins my enjoyment of this classic show. considering he is long dead, broderick crawford can't atone, apologize, or explain for anything about his life.

Everyone talks about Crawford’s drinking as if he was the only actor in Hollywood who drank. Guest star Bobby Jordan was known as someone who drank like a fish. He lost his job in the Bowery Boys films because of it. Leo Gorcey was also a drunk, but he could function - until his father, Bernard, died in an auto accident. Gorcey was so out of control from grief fueled by booze that after smashing several items on the set of Crashing Las Vegas (1956), he quit the series. He told Allied Artists he’d only comeback if given a substantial raise. The studio said thanks, but no thanks and hired ex-East Side Kid Stanley Clements to take his place.

Because he was human, maybe? People who think because someone becomes a celebrity, whether an actor, athlete whatever, that doesn't mean they are a role model

Maybe he drank because he had "Survivor's Guilt". He was one of 2 announcers for the Glenn Miller band, in the Army, during WWII. Obviously, he wasn't on their plane when it was shot down.

Pretty good episode. The market manager needs to work on his age determination. The perp was quite a bit older than 35-40, and the woman was well north of 28. Who keeps that much cash around, especially back then? Ever hear of night drops? And it wasn't even locked in the office? Same for the gas station guy. He didn't go to the bank for a whole week??!!

I like the way the same actors are, depending on the episode, sometimes good guys, sometimes bad guys. Also, is that background rocking motion introduced by the computer doing the digitizing process?
@mikesmith-po8nd
Жыл бұрын
Apparently one of the computers they used was too slow to deal with the scenes that had a lot of rapid motion in them. They must have used more than one computer, because it's not in every episode.
