In this video I will show you how to make a delicious meat roll. True to mennonite recipes, this recipe doesn't really have measurements. I just measured everything according to the amount of meat I used.
Ingredients:
Ground Beef
1/2 Tsp Seasoned Salt
1 Tsp Salt
1/4 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
1 Egg
Crackers (just enough to make the meat stick)
1/2 Cup Water
Carrots (shredded)
Cabbage(shredded)
Instructions
Add the first 5 ingredients into a bowl. Mix well. I just mix it with my hands, but a spoon will also work. Then add the crackers a little bit at a time, and mix the meat mixture again. Once you have added enough crackers to make the meat stick together, put a large piece of tinfoil on the countertop and transfer the meat unto that. Press down with your hands, making a rectangular shape. The meat should be about 1/4 - 1/2 inch thick. Add shredded up cabbage and carrots on top. Again just do as much as you think will taste good. Press it down gently with a spoon, then roll it up. Once it is rolled up transfer it to a glass baking dish, and add water on each side of the meat roll. Cover with tinfoil and bake at 350 for about an hour.
