Dear Jill, it seems that there is a little error in your timestamps - if I click on 1:07 to hear about fatty liver, it sends me back to the beginning of the video. I think that maybe you meant 01:07:00? Excuse me for being a smart-@ss.....thank you for the invaluable information. Very much appreciated, best regards from Vienna Austria

I’m subbed to both your KZitem and podcast. I’ve found both to be incredibly useful in solving my own issues with alcohol. I used to consumer about 3 bottles of wine a week and had major anxiety issues, terrible skin, terrible sleep and a feeling that I needed alcohol to dull the sense due to various stresses at work. One of the things you said in a podcast episode was to just remember ‘don’t drink, no matter what’. I’ve used that simple advice to stay totally sober now since the 23rd December 2023 - so 284 days (I use the ‘days since’ app to track). The advice to just not take that first drink no matter what is so powerful, and combined with proper scientific understanding of what happens to the body makes giving up so much easier. You do wonderful work - and I’ve found both your channels incredibly helpful. Thank you so much!

Wow. I was at 1,5 bottles a DAY. Diluted with sparkling water, but still. First week sober and planning on keeping it that way. Thank you for sharing your experience....

This is even better than Andrew Huberman’s. It always resonates better when the narrator has been there. Thank you for your insight and I just love your voice!!

Great video and a nice job 👍🏾 in presenting the data. Found your KZitem channel a few weeks ago and then moved over to your Podcast. Been binge listening to your podcast ever since. Love the science behind alcohol addiction, I was a daily drinker since college (45 years ago). Entered a treatment program 5 years ago and have been sober ever since. My 5 year sober anniversary will be on 10/30. Best decision of my life. I was very concerned about the damage I may have done to my body and brain, I have been throughly checked out by my doctor. I am amazed that everything checked out fine, my doctor was also amazed. Your information has helped me truly understand exactly what I was doing to myself. I am one of the fortunate ones that made it to the other side. I will alway be grateful for that, I am always grateful for another day on this beautiful planet. Thank you so much for what you do, keep up the great work. Love your content…looking forward to your next podcast…. ❤️🙏

It's incredibly refreshing how you candidly speak of choices that you continued making even after knowing the damage. It's incredibly relatable and simultaneously takes away shame, which I find so remarkably productive for this kind of conversation. You taught me something (many things) new today, thank you for the content ❤

Subbed when I was trying to get sober in July, I relapsed then discovered I was pregnant when in hospital for withdrawal treatment. I’m only 5 weeks but the thought I could have harmed someone else or may already have made stopping even more imperative; it’s been 2 weeks

I would bing drink on weekends. I was doing this regularly for 3 years. I had episodes of binge drinking 4-5 times per year before that. I developed A-fib and had to go in for an ablation. There were really no other risk factors except alcohol. I gave it up and have not drank for 2 years now. My body feels so much better. My life is more productive and stable. My relationships are better.

Excellent thank u!! I'm stunned by 1 bottle wine puts us at 35 drinks a week. How does that compute?
@deborahjackwl5631
13 күн бұрын
A bottle has 5 glasses of wine. 7 x 5 = 35. There are not 3 glasses of wine in a bottle as we may think if we pour ourselves large glass😬

1 bottle of wine per day is about 4-5 drinks so multiply that by 7
