Base Gravy
Step 1
1600g Sliced Onions
3 Large plum Tomato’s
½ Large Green Pepper
½ Bunch Fresh Coriander
2 TbsSalt
2 Cup Oil
4 Green Chillies
2 carrots
3 Tbs Garlic & ginger Paste
Stew for 30 Minutes
Step 2
Making the Stock
3 litre water
3x 2 inch piece cinnamon sticks
15 cardamon
1 Tbs fennel seed
1 Tsp Salt
5 Bay leaves
3 Piece cinnamon
Add a Little stock and keep cooking Simmering for 50 Minutes
Step 3
Add 1½ Tbs turmeric 10 Minutes before you blend
Step 4
Blend Onions, add the remainder of the stock
Add
1 Tbs Paprika
1½ Tbs Coriander
½ Tbs Cumin
½ Tbs Kashmiri Red chillies
Add additional water if needed
Add 2 Cups Oil
Add 2 cups oil on the spices
Bring to the Boil and boil for 2 minutes and then simmer for 5/10 minutes
All done! just take out the Spiced oil.
