I’ve being doing these exercises for 1 month, every day, 3 times a day for 5 minutes each. This stuff definitely works and I’ve noticed not a big difference, but a HUGE difference!

One thing a lot of people don't realize about poor posture is that it can also effect your mood and your confidence. I've noticed that when I walk with good posture I involuntarily move with more purpose, I feel more confident in my surroundings, and more people will notice or move out of my way in a crowded hallway. It also makes you look more sure of yourself which will cause people to regard you with higher esteem and can make you more attractive.

That's true I tried it earlier and I felt more relaxed in public but it's annoying keeping the posture up because I get tired. I looked it up and there are studies done on this so its not just placebo effect it's a real effect that proper posture gives you.

Stretch exercises (2 mins) 5:04 foam roller with towel overhead 6:49 foam roller snow angel motion 7:36 doorway alternative Strength exercises (1 - 2 mins) 9:21 phase 1 wall angel motion 10:54 phase 2 dive motion Just a tip, depending on your yoga mat thickness (when all rolled up of course) you can use it as alternative to foam roller. Worked for mine.

Jared, thank you for the great coaching with this stretching video. It’s easy to let stretching go because “I don’t have time” but at 78 I’ve decided my health and fitness are worth the time so I am motivated to start stretching and stay consistent. I think it will help with other exercises I’m doing and generally make me feel better.

Good solid advice, mate. I feel daft for having always thought my posture was just the way I am and would take years to do anything about. The doorway stretch in particular has made an immediate difference for me. I do full body workouts and think I've evened out the strength in my back and chest, but didn't see the results I wanted in my posture until now. I'll never underestimate stretches again.

I'm 18, but because of bad self asteem and stress i've developed a bad posture that ended up creating more self asteem problems. Today I' ve decided to try and fix my posture, following the steps that were presented in the video, and I kept holding my posture in the correct way for like 10 minutes. My back got really tired because I wasn't used to it, so I decided to bend a little ( I've been having really bad back pain since I was about 13) and in that moment my WHOLE BACK CREACKED and I've felt an incredible relief through out my whole back, at the point where It left me crying , because of how relaxed my back finally was and because I couldn't believe that i've been sitting in so much pain through out all of these years... Thank YOU! and I can't thank you enough for this video!!!

I have been taking steps to better myself over the last couple years (stuff like quitting drinking, getting to a reasonably healthy weight, maintaining good friendships and ending not so good friendships, and regularly doing educational activities like reading and taking classes). Fixing my HORRIBLE posture is up next (it probably should have been higher on the list, but better late than never, right?). I got through a couple of the stretches and exercises that you showed. I couldn’t do much, but it’s at least a start. I look forward to making this a part of my regular routine and hopefully progress will happen. Thanks for the great video and please wish me luck!

Man this was awesome. First time I did the stretches, felt soooo good. My pecks were so tight and they were hurting so bad but once I started doing the stretches it hurt at first but then it felt so much better! I already see and feel the difference! So simple yet so affective!

Found this video a few days ago and am already seeing good results with my neck tension/headache issues and I'm encouraged that I will be finally be able to overcome my lifelong poor posture--something I have struggled with to no avail since my teens. My question is, how long do we work the opening of the chest muscles before moving to the more strenuous exercises, like the one on the floor when you're arching slightly and pulling the elbows back? How do I know when it's time to move on to an additional exercise?

I'm working at an office where I sit in front of the computer 8+ hours a day (+2-3 hours at home) and in the last few months my posture just got worse and I have back pain all the time. I've done these workouts today and oh my god, it is so much better now. My shoulders feel a lot lighter and I can stand in a good posture finally (in the past few days I cannot even stand straight, because my back and shoulders hurt so much). I'm going to do these exercises every day from now, I hope that I will see an improvement in my posture in a few weeks. Thank you for the video!

Desk jobs are hard, Noemi! I usually tell patients you have to get up and move for 5 minutes every hour. Stretch backwards over your chair and pull your arms back behind you. You'll be surprised how much it helps. These exercises look great! I’m a long time exerciser and have always stretched. Recently had heart surgery and couldn’t do much more than walk for 3 months, which I did! Now in cardiac rehab and due to all those years of exercise and eating a good diet, I’m right back into it. However I realized that my posture definitely suffered from a lot of sitting, etc, and experienced a lot of the upper back discomfort you described at the beginning. Plan to start these stretches later today. Thank you so much for showing and explaining them.

Dania Flores me too. When I get too comfortable in sitting, i would unconsciously sit in a bad posture. And when I realized how bad my posture is I would try sitting properly but would get comfortable again resulting to a bad posture.

When my dad pulls my shoulder on my chair it felt great but as soon as he removed his hands I immediately got back to the poor posture. fr I wanna tie my back on the chair just to make my posture fine.

Just wanted to say, as someone with very limited vision who has always had poor posture because I spent the majority of my childhood looking at the floor in order to keep myself safe, I really appreciated your descriptions. Will definitely be giving these a try. Have been working to correct my posture And wasn't sure how to strengthen those back muscles because they felt very tired when I was trying to stand up straight.

Trust me you guys you're going to want to have a good posture because it'll cause serious problems in the future if you don't. I have cervical vertigo right now since I pinched a nerve in my neck. You can get worsening symptoms like vertigo (dizziness or feeling like the floor is moving), Tinnitus (ringing in the ears), constipation, back pain. And you're at risk for cervical cancer. I need to fix this before it's too late for me.

I definitely think God brought me to your video lol. I really needed this in depth understanding. I've been going through some serious pain for about 3 years. It is now like 85% better just by me doing various exercises and stretches, however I really believe that your explanation gave me a clearer perspective and that is I could be on this vicious cycle of neck pain because I wasn't aware of my posture (sheesh) and I'm also a side sleeper and that probably doesn't help either. Thank you for creating this video and I got some more work to do.

I feel amazing after trying this just one time! My posture is fairly good - been dancing for 45 years! - but this was such an endorphin kick! Will definitely be adding a foam roller to my daily warmup routine. Thanks for this!

Is The w upper excersise is safe for my upper center back pain. How to reduce this pain. I am not able to sleep comfortable by last few weeks. Please help.. Doing bhujangasan or markatassan does it help... My brother is asking me to go to orthopedic... I am worried.. Which xray should be done for my upper middle center nerve backpain...

Hi Jared! I hope you are staying safe during these tough times. I had a question. I'm 36 and have a lifetime of bad posture and trying to fix it now. I just started with the two minute + two minute + 1 minute exercise on my foam roller tonight. I know you said results can take up to 6 months. The question I have is how often and how many times should we do them? Once a day 2+2+2+2? Twice a day? Also, how many times a week. It would really help if you clarified this.

Wow, that's what I have to say! I'm a 55 year old man. I've had bad posture my entire life. Today, I finally a video that's for me! I feel good, just after one day of these exercises! God bless you for posting!
This video alone alleviated my shoulder pain. Specifically the overhead wall exercises. I do them 3 times a day. I was diagnosed with scapular dyskinesis and have been living with shoulder pain for 5 years. Thank you so much for this video

That moment when you realize your muscles are so weak because even the stretches make them fatigued! As a person with scoliosis with a rib hump with no access to proffesional physical therapist I really appreciate the effort for sharing this type of content because it does make me feel better. Hello ! I've done these exercices for the first time today and it feels so good. Not only my posture feels easier to maintain, but I can feel my breathing got better. My question is, how often should we do these exercices ? Is everyday too much ?
This is the best video I’ve found. I’ve been doing these everyday and I feel fine until I sit down. No matter what, my neck starts killing me and get headaches from sitting. If I try to keep my head back it feels extremely tight in the back of my head/neck. Help!! Is there something else I should be doing or wil these exercises eventually help w the sitting?

I did these exercises fir the first time to correct my posture, I feel so relaxed that i am feeling sleepy. Is it normal Doctor? Also i loved this. I don’t have a firm roller so i rolled about 5 towels, is it fine doctor?

I have kyphoscoliosis, am 18 years old, I feel the right side of my back more than the left one, I think that is due to the scoliosis rotation that I have, my kyphosis is way more noticeable than my scoliosis. Will these exercises help? Or should I add something else too? Thank you in advance

What are you trying to correct exactly? When you say neck do you mean that your head sticks forward like you’re struggling to see something far away or are you talking g about down the sides and back of your neck and towards your shoulders?

Really wanted to thank you for these exercises. I am at just day 1 and i can already feel a difference. lately i noticed that working too much on the computer and on the phone my posture went from okaysh to quasimodo. I am practicing combat sports and started to do some stretching exercises as this helps. The door exercise was the toughest of them all. Can’t believe how tense my pecs were, i was basically screaming in pain(good pain lol). Hoping to get rid of the bad posture and the neck hump. Bless you good man

Good information, my daughter came over noticed my shoulders are getting in a slip position, maybe to much being on my cell phone, she said I need to stand with better posture. I SURE THIS WILL HELP IMPROVE IT!! THANK YOU!!😃
