How to Make Hong Kong Snack Black-eyed Bean Glutinous Rice Bun? Steamed Rice Bun recipe!

Filling for 16pcs:
300g Black-Eyed Beans
2 tbsp Dried Shrimps (minced)
1 tsp Five Spice Powder
2 tsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Chicken Powder
Ingredients for wrapping (16pcs):
300g Glutinous Rice Flour
150g Rice Flour
2 tsp Salt
3 tbsp Cooking Oil
300ml Hot Water
Method for filling:
1. Soak Black-eyed Bean for 4-5 hours and steam for 1 hour.
2. Then take it out and mash.
3. Heat oil and fry dried shrimps and five spice powder.
4. Add mashed black-eyed beans and seasonings.
5. Mix and knead to form filling.
Method for wrapping:
1. Pour the two types of flour and salt into a bowl.
2. Add oil and then pour in boiling water and stir them.
3. Cool slightly and knead with hands to form soft and smooth dough.
4. Divide rice dough into small pieces. Roll into balls and press flat.
5. Wrap in filling and place a piece of dumpling leaf under the Bun.
6. Place in steamer and steam on high heat for 15 minutes.
Cooking Tips:
1. The filling can be used for other buns or dumplings.
2. The wrapping is made the same way as for other glutinous buns.
3. If they are not finished in a day, store in refrigerator and steam for 5-10 minutes before serving.
