I’m confused how the torque came out at 30 instead of 35, your other video showing the stretch gauge it went from 35 ft lbs to like 90lbs

Nice catch! They are different bolts from this engine to the other and they have different stretch specs I needed to follow. This bolts torque spec shows 35 ft lbs or .0065" bolt stretch, I prefer to stick to the stretch spec when I can. at 35 ft lbs it was stretched too far and eneded with the right stretch at 30 ft lbs.

@@CompetitorsEdge22 one thing I’ve been confused with is if people was stock bolt on head or rods and they plasti gauge. They are stretching the stock bolt to its recommended torque then undoing to check the clearance. Isn’t that bolt technically spent because it’s been torqued to yield

@davidbeutler7665 as long as the bolt is not over stretched and only stretched to what it's supposed be at, it will pull back to its original length once it's backed off. if it gets over stretched, it will often not come back to its original length and then it's "spent"
