Sarah (aka BG) is AMAZING. So glad you interviewed her, as her story is just inspirational. She got MAD at that debt! :) If you want to see the progression of someone paying off a large amount of debt and making sacrifices to do it (Sarah didn't even mention going "scorched earth" in the last year of her paying off debt; whew, that was impressive!), then go back and watch Sarah's earlier KZitem videos.

Budget girl is awesome! As she was talking about her student loan debt I was thinking in my head, that sounds just like us. My husband went to trade school and took out a $16,000 student loan. He was told (by the government lol) that he didn’t have to pay it just yet since he wasn’t making much. Few years later he owes $26,000 and counting.

I'm glad to see this. I saw your first videos and could not find you anywhere. Budget girl and the Economedes inspire me. I do most of your steps. I have only one hurdle and that is saving. I have had emergency after emergency. The reason I am surviving is due to my stock pile and the blessing from God to know how to use my money.

Hi Paloma, I know that must be frustrating. But when that has happened to me and my friends, I try to think about how much worse of a situation I would be in if I hadn't had the savings I did when the emergency happened. Your e-fund is there for emergencies, and thank the lord you had what you did when they happened. At some point, they'll quit happening for a while and you'll catch up. Keep going, I promise you're doing better than you think.

With emergency fund funded and discipline we treat cash back cc like debit card paying in full each month. Using the cash back towards paying card. But wouldn't do this without an emergency fund in place. Blessings wise frugalistas.
