If you lose the screw holding the rotor on, it is M5 x0.8x10, which can be purchased from Lowes in a 8 pack from the hardware section.

Did it solve it. Im having a weird problem with sudden hesitation sometimes between 2500 to 3500 and yesterday with 100 degree heat it started but wouldnt stay on til i kinda forced it to. Replaced the wires but nothing happened so figured it might be the distributor itself...

When should you replace your cap and rotor
@MichaelFlare

I think the owner's manual says to replace every 45,000 miles.

@@MichaelFlare how many months is that ,sorry for the dumb questions ,I'm just getting into cars

@@jlr194 You should almost NEVER do your maintenance scheduling based off of TIME but MILES instead. The reason why a lot of shops you go to give you a sticker that shows maintenance schedules based off of time and miles (they say whichever comes first) is for people who really don't know much about cars, and the date is usually a simple indicator for them. Here's an extreme example: Let's say you have a special car that you only drive once a month, and it sits in a garage (it probably gets 60 miles a month). You leave an oil change shop, and it says to change after 6 months or after 4000 miles. Your car DOESN'T know or feel TIME. They only feel MILEAGE. If the car is driven only once a month, that oil is probably good for 10 years! A person who works on cars will most likely ONLY follow the MILEAGE for maintenance schedules.

Thadya Virginia aftermarket, but if OEM is a big deal then do it. Aftermarket works fine.
