It isn't about your face, it is how I suddenly thought of the Japanese games (mostly Nintendo) that show the face stills of characters with a vocal sound or word to go with each otherwise unvoiced text bubble you have to read. I'm fine with the face animations as long as you don't do that.

God! There is no god except He, the Living, the Everlasting. Neither slumber overtakes Him, nor sleep. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His permission? He knows what is before them, and what is behind them; and they cannot grasp any of His knowledge, except as He wills. His Throne extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation does not burden Him. He is the Most High, the Great. The Quran 2:255

If you have none of those things your going to have a bad time at life. Even if you beleive in greed and money at least your contributing something to society. I never played Sims - I may have tried it and didn't like it. I did like Age of Empires, but only liked the expansion packs and didn't like anything else they made. I played Diablo, just to have something in common with my friend, but he quit and started jumping around, so I quit it and no longer do anything with him. We still stay in touch, but not like before. Gaming is fun, but extremely unprofitable and a lousy way to throw away your life. The Game Of Life, the real game of life, is all about relationships between us and God, the Messiah, the Holy Spirit, our families, our friends, our communities, and beyond. And life is far less a video game and more so, a test of character on a battlefield .

Success is not about becoming rich or famous, it's simply about being happy in what you do, especially in the joy of doing the will of God. Success is even being able to bear much suffering for God's sake and for the salvation of souls. Don't tell me that someone who's unknown to the world, has an average pay but loves his job, wife and kids and spend lots of time with them is unsuccessful just because he is not rich and famous. Those influencers are pathetic and they will lose everything at death. If you have Christ, you have everything, but those who don't have Christ, even what they have will be taken away.

There is no real evidence for primitive monotheism as a general element of how the spiritual life of a culture evolves with increasing development into a proper civilization. There probably is no natural progression from one type of religion into another one. Greek philosophers already thought about a single creator deity but that didn't necessarily rejects minor deities kinda like in Tolkien's universe which has a clear creator God Eru Iluvatar (yes, allfather) who makes many spiritual beings with whom he created Earth/Arda and gives them roles and specific powers. Humans thought they must be gods and one of them actually pretended to be one, mistreats all the creations of Eru and the others (however, only Eru had the power to create actual life which continues independently) and lies to them about the nature of the world, pretending Eru isn't real and there is no afterlife. He got imprisoned twice because the other subgods were naive and believed in his reform.

The fact is that there is One God, it's the absolute truth, and there's no god other than Him. It's an objective fact that can be deducted by logical reasoning alone. Scripture (Bible & Quran) helps us understand what happened in the past in the interactions of God and humanity, and point us towards the right direction, individually and as a society. The Quran in particular contains explicit examples of what happens to people who follow God and people who don't, and societies who follow God and societies who don't.
@ikkinwithattitude
8 ай бұрын
Tolkien was a Catholic who viewed the world he created as Catholic through and through. His fellow Inkling, C.S. Lewis, was an Anglican, and posited a very similar hierarchy of spiritual beings in his Space Trilogy. Which is to say that monotheism doesn't actually require there to be only one divine being. It simply requires a category difference between the Creator -- who created everything and needs nothing -- and the divine beings He created. And it does seem like the most primitive religions reflect that sort of pyramidal hierarchy with one figure at the top, with polytheistic chaos being associated with the religions of city cultures where multiple highest goods were in competition.
@napoleonfeanor
8 ай бұрын
@@sasino while I personally believe in God, you are just wrong about objectivity. It's a matter of faith. I think you can find Him if you are open to search. By pure logic, what you say is rubbish though. If we just go by rational thought, there is absolutely no proper justification to believe in Bible and Quran over other scriptures. I however also think that rationality alone leads to bad outcomes. We can see it in those who try to go by reason alone, are they happy? Do they produce happy and functional families, communities? Rarely. And what is the result? Groups will completely reject reason and start things like postmodern ideas where objectivity itself is denied.
