My friend, I enjoy your content and I regularly watch your videos, but please remember when commenting on history that there are always a range of different perspectives. The military conflict that is commonly referred to in the United States as "the Vietnam War" was not merely a matter of Vietnamese trying to "kick out" American military forces. That is too simplified a view, as U.S. military involvement in Vietnam was in reality an intervention in a conflict that was already pre-existing. It is important to note that NOT all Vietnamese supported Ho Chi Minh and the communist forces in North Vietnam (this is why Ho Chi Minh is such a widely reviled figure in Vietnamese diasporic communities outside of Vietnam, and why Vietnamese communities outside of the country regularly use the flag of South Vietnam and often reject the current flag of the present-day Socialist Republic of Vietnam). But the U.S. and Allied military intervention in Vietnam was a response to an escalation of what was an ongoing insurgency by the Viet Cong, sponsored by North Vietnam, seeking to overthrow the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam) and bring all of Vietnam under the rule of the communist government in the North, but it is the general historical consensus that it was North Vietnam that initiated the foundations of what would come to be known in the U.S. as the "Vietnam War" as South Vietnam had already formally renounced any claims to the territory of the North, in contrast to the North, which was actively seeking to incorporate the South into the DRV. But please remember that not all Vietnamese celebrate the South Vietnamese/U.S. defeat in the war, and that the Victory Museum in Hanoi exclusively presents a lopsided view of events that many Vietnamese would reject. Lastly, Vietnam and the United States currently enjoy a positive and cooperative relationship, not because Vietnam has simply "gotten over it" due to the North's victory in the war of the 1960s-70s, but because both Hanoi and Washington have troubled relations with China and both countries have found common cause in balancing out growing Chinese influence in the Indo-Pacific. Also, as a matter of public opinion in Vietnam, most Vietnamese tend to have a favorable view of the United States (as indicated in a number of surveys/polls) and pro-U.S. sentiment in Vietnam is probably higher than anywhere else in Southeast Asia aside from the Philippines. There was an interesting poll conducted by the ASEAN Studies Centre recently showing this, and I'm certain the reasons vary even with a complex history. Thank you for reading my comment and for considering my input, and keep up the good work. 😃

7:52 Hi Guys!!! Attention people, rip-offs when shopping in Vietnam. The woman says: 40,000VND ( Vietnam Dong) for an apple, that's too expensive. This is a rip off.
