We never know what others are going through until we experience it ourselves firsthand. That's why we should always remain humble & kind towards another human being. Empathy is everything.

I can't believe what I have just heard about the "if I can just make it until my kids are 20 then I will be fine" that is 100% the same exact thought I have. So sad

Yes its terrible when you're a mum and your kids see you going through health anxiety. The guilt of not being there for them mentally. The sadness of seeing them trying to comfort you. And yes its a combination of the fear of death, suffering and not being able to take care of them

I totally agree with you ladies. Last week at my daughters house with my grandchildren. All of a sudden the anxiety just lifted for a while and I felt so good. I thought I am well yet next day I got up and it was back again.

I am convinced anesthesia has some sort of correlation with anxious episodes. My first ever DP/DR episode came directly after being put out for a routine surgery that I was not worried about in the least. It lasted an entire year. Then a few years later almost the exact same thing happened. It wasnt until later that I recognized both anxious episodes came almost directly after minor surgeries both of which were not serious or life threatening. I wonder if the anesthesia disrupts our brain chemistry enough to leave us vulnerable to panic and anxiety.

Cherelle, thank you so much for doing this video. Ashley, thank YOU for sharing your story. I can relate to every single thing you said. These videos help me and others like you have no idea. Hearing other people’s stories make me feel “normal” in a dark world where I feel otherwise so alone. Please keep these videos coming!

I TOTALLY get what you say about the doctor just eluding to something in a throw away comment and it sending you massively down a total wormhole. Awful. I've been there many times.

You don’t ever put a time table on symptoms. Semitones they become chronic bc of fear you have to beat the fear

I suffered from health anxiety and once a close friend said , you still have that . As if I had a unglued shirt or something and I keep it because she think I want to. I’ve never looked at her the same way again . I really suffered for a couple years but her word still hurt .

Believe me, even with 58 and two adult lovely daughters, I react the same way. They don‘t need me anymore but anxiety is the same
