I honestly feel like you did worse the 2nd day.... He had you crushed and I feel like in these last two days... you needed to learn when to give up certain hands... I really enjoy your content... normally I agree with you 95% of the time... this is one of those 5% and I felt like a comment was needed here... Hope you learn cause this could have been another big negative session... but glad you made alot of it back cause I didn't feel like you were playing like you normally do if that makes any sense? Yeah watching both of those hands I was like wow this is a huge punt. Yeah you can have AA and KK but your not gunna 3bet the flop with those. Only 3betting the flop with bluffs. Almost no fold equity either, just making it a punt.

Glad Lex won back most of his money. Yes, correct in saying he lost his money unluckily, as he won luckily. Hope Lex sits down and re-eval his play and sees this. 1) Lex K4 ♠️ vs 74 ❤️. Yes villain got lucky w 7, but Lex got involved w calling station. Granted he pushed the action, but w those types of players all you need is top pair not even top kick, to win and get value. 2) JJ vs AJ ♣️ was a brutal bad beat. 3) AJ ♠️ vs AQ was cooler, hard to lay down w nut flush draw too. Lex winning hands: AQ off where he rivers A. Villain likely had pocket over pair, similar to how Lex lost hand #2 above(at best 6 outer, maybe 3)? Lex AJ ♦️ flopped top two, villain likely AK, AQ similar to #3? Lex JT ♣️ vs Q ♣️ _. Villain likely QQ? 😂 likely used same logical as Lex “no way opponent has 9x or Tx holdings in 3-bet pot”? And since 9, T paired unlikely holding pocket 99, TT. Yes Lex hit 2 outer river similar to #2?

@@thomasmattheww good career move on Lex part. Every semi-pro/pro cash grinder goal 1) take down big tourney 2) invite to HIGH stakes home game/livestream like HCL to play w rec whales. He doesn’t want to toil $40-50/hourly, or picking +ev spots in 5/10 games forever? Since he’s unwilling to play/improve in tourney, must play more aggressive style(more bluffs) ie Rampage. Yes the up/down swings more drastic > typical nit play. But that’s what gets livestream invites.
@greglist2991
Жыл бұрын
@@thomasmattheww HCL is either rec or cusp of regs. No “pros” except Garrett. Can’t speak of streams in TX, FL. But think are mostly regs trying to take their shot at higher stakes. And understandably Lex doesn’t like to play w pros at table. I would feel the same way, if I was grinding like Lex why play vs quality players. I would do same in low stake games if I wound up at table w all good tight players, ask for table change.

Let this be a warning to all novice/intermediate poker players; it can be very difficult to beat a guy with very deep pockets; he can afford to go all-in all night and lose….can you? In other words, he only has to hit once to take all your chips; you can’t do the same to him. PS-You have to know when to call it a night to regroup for the next session.

So I look at these poker vlogs like a story and when you just spoil the outcomes right from the start it kind of ruins that story , anticipation is a lot of what your viewers love and when we already know what's going to happen that isn't a good thing. Just my two cents . There's nothing in your title or intro that will bring more views , the people that are going to watch are going too, no matter the title . GG

Although most people will rightly see the first hand call by the 74s as sick, I think it's not a terrible call if he read you for a flush draw. You didn't 3 bet pre so you don't have a big J (KJ, AJ, or big PP like 10s, JJ, QQ, etc.). So what are you leading out on? Not a set or big J and probably not big pockets. Maybe J10, J9s, JQ? Most likely wouldn't lead out but possible if you wanted to try and pot control or block a bigger c bet. You correctly analyzed that you look weak and you do. A set would likely check raise. Also, what hand flats pre out of position, leads and 4 bets the flop? Sets, combo draws maybe but that's when the live read comes into play. He just didn't read you for a big hand and made the call.

Peaks and valleys Lex......peaks and valleys. I do believe - my opinion here - you take risks by betting on the outcome before it gets there. But, whatever works for you. I also think your ability to call your opponents hand is inaccurate and needs refining - again, just my opinion. I really enjoy your videos, largely because of the reality. Far too many are on here with selling part of their commitment which means they are playing with backers who have a stake in their game. Definitely not into that. Keeping it real is what it's all about. Great job, my Brother. Where's Rogue?

It seems playing "correct" is wrong, and playing aggressive thinking opponents never have anything, whilst being wrong is the lucky system. For what it's worth, I think you too often rule out hands from their range, and also you too often think ppl won't bet hands like they actually do. Last hand guy had you dead to rights playing exactly as he did. You had 2 outs and got there but he owned you because you were pumping in money putting him on air despite his repeated raises then calls. Imo this is your biggest weakness. Often players are clearly telling you what they have and you stubbornly refuse to accept it... Glad you won most money back but you coulfve easily been 20k down in 2 sessions. Just accept sometimes they have it..

Wondering what he had? You called his jam you could have just seen it. I get people show nuts quick to speed up the game or show courtesy but at least in my games it leads to a culture where no one wants to show their hand first when not nutted and suddenly people “forget” the rules of the game and the order of showing, and it wastes more time in the long run. Not to mention giving up information you paid for
