Try carrots and white turnip mash with salted butter a little pepper and a hint of nutmeg I sometimes use Portugese all spice to give it a zing. Think you will like it. Looks delicious. Thank you

Hi Dana….every time you take a dish to Stefanie at Château Diaries, which is a happy surprise, your food always looks so good. Such a good idea filming your meals in other homes. Not only do we get to watch you prepare a meal, but we also have the opportunity to see a small peek into a kitchen of the home. I have never heard of mashing carrots in with my mashed potatoes. Will have to try that in the near future, I will be adventurous! Looking forward to your next dish.

When I got married in 1960 my husband and I had our wedding dinner for friends and relations at the newly built Sharon Hotel in Herzliyya, Israel and I specifically ordered beef Wellington from the chef there as the principal dish. I had to go into explanations as to how it should be prepared as the kitchen staff had not made this dish before...it was not wrapped in dough however, and the stuffing was only in part of the upper layer which was sliced into and pulled up to form a pocket, then covered again. It was not quite the real thing but close enough and quite tasty.

I thought I was weird, because I am very often making mash potatoes with carrots, but I do think that with red meat, even chicken breast and turkey, mash goes best with carrots or sweet potatoes added, not with fish though, I do not think the sweet taste compliments the fish. I love your sense of style, as well, my favourite was the yellow dress you wore once at a dinner with Stephanie!!! You are both gorgeous and talented!🥰

when you are searing the meat, its best done on a grill, its from there you set the degree of done-ness, what you produced was rare beef welly, let it go longer, increase it to medium well done-ness, use a dry mustard and mix a dry white wine into it to make a paste, (you should only need maybe a lightly rounded tablespoon) also it will be far superior to any store bought mustard you find anywhere else. NEVER BOIL VEG.............!!!! if you have to boil them use veg stock in a shallow pan and you will save the integrity of the vegetables .......................😘💋
