Ingredients: Asafoetida (Heeng), Clove (Laung), Cumin (Zeera), Cardamom (Elaichi), Kashmiri Red Chili Powder, Salt (Namak), Curd (Dahi), Ginger Powder (Adrakh), Fennel Powder (Saunf), Garam Masala
Here is the step by step guided recipe for How to Cook Kashmiri Dum Aloo:
Take 250gm of boiled potatoes
Prick all potatoes
Deep fry the potatoes till they are reddish brown
Saute Asafoetida (Heeng): ½ spoon
Add Clove (Laung): 2
Add Cumin (Zeera) seeds: ½ spoon
Add Black Cardamom (Badi elaichi): 1
Saute on a low flame
Add Kashmiri red chilli powder: 2 spoons
Add Salt (Namak): 1 spoon
Add 2 spoons of Curd (Dahi) & mix thoroughly
Add Water: 1 glass
Add Ginger (Adrakh) powder: ½ spoon
Add Fennel (Saunf) seeds: 1 spoon
Add Garam masala: ½ spoon
Add a pinch of Cardamom (Elaichi) powder
