Apologies, I was writing a script on the 80s/90s Saints and got him mixed up with Gilbert. Fascinating player, Adrian was

@@thegaz-man Haha...get it. Gilbert was definitely the better player 😀, but lordy Adrian started like he was going to be the best forward in the comp.

Love it Gaz Man. Dominating with the forensic level accounting details as per usual. Keep it up!

I remember Kent Kingsley. Had no problem getting the ball but when it came to kicking he was terrible.

You have to factor in the off-field issues with his wife/partner involved in an affair with another player whilst at Geelong. Apparently one of the root causes of the failed 06 season that led to him being traded. King and Thompson also rumored to be involved but story has never been clarified by any party…

Wow, huge if true! That'd certainly explain a lot about that season.

He didn't lean forward over the ball when kicking for a goal ( all the greats like Lockett leaned over the ball making it easier to guide the ball to foot ) Great player just had bad technic with set shots that made his set shots not very consistent.

Explains a lot! Wish I had more footage to analyse but precious little of the King seems to be on YT. Staggers me that the Cats didn't fix that, considering how good their player dev was at the time

Geelong supporters who experienced his fluctuating career certainly haven’t forgotten him. We just try to repress it like we do with ‘08. By the way, I dug the Pokémon joke, nice touch.

Ahhh cheers! Kingsley always felt like a starter Pokémon that just never evolved. I get that, as a Crows man I had a similar experience with Josh Jenkins

His effort at the SCG was the final straw for me..all his own, could have steadied the ship to win the game, put in a custard effort instead
