Leaving the rail road spikes out for the next person to see is such a great move, our historic locations could be like public museums if everyone did that.

@@westralianoffroad Traditional occupants or inhabitants. Aboriginal people say the land owns us, not us that owns the land. Some, not all indigenous people take a little offence to being called owners. Just a little enlightenment for you and viewers. As you and D P above mentioned "owners". Charles Cooke Hunt built a series of wells to the goldfields and died in Geraldton in 1868. The well at Kokerbin is not listed as being one of his and as far as I can ascertain was built during the early 1900's either by locals or drovers.

We never prepare at home, we only plan what we will have and take or buy the fresh food needed as we travel through towns. Dude, did you call the local indigenous folk to ask them if it was a good time to walk on the rock? If not, it’s a great way to get harassed and get your gear pinched… just sayin’ but I grew up in Quairading and I know ‘outsiders’ who’ve got a bit upset about stuff like that… It might seem to be pandering but hey, I grew up with the Winmars and the Collards and lots of other family groups and ya know what? All they really want is a bit of respect. There’s lots of ‘secret’ spots they will share if you make the effort.
