@kennedyhair8434 "Lead them to Paradise" said Paul after accepting his role as messiah, something he predicted it would lead to famine and death. Under his rule the Fremen started to act like Harkonnens - burning bodies (wasting water). You can only assume that they'll act as cruel as their previous persecutors. In the past the Paradise meant Arrakis full of water. Paul twisted this idea. Now it means death. Leading someone to Paradise no longer means terraforming the planet but killing people

One of the best pairings of music and cinema I’ve seen in a while. The tone of the song fits perfectly. This moment in the film is not a happy one. It is not triumphant, not celebratory. It is a decidedly sad scene. We’re watching an entire civilization of people being tricked into fighting and dying in a war that they have no business being in. We’re watching a young boy’s love of a people and culture be twisted and corrupted by the unbearable weight of the cosmic expectations placed on his shoulders. And the song perfectly fits that kind of “beauty”. It is beautiful, in the same way the Trinity bomb test was beautiful to the scientists of Los Alamos, or the way a meteor is beautiful to the masses of terrified onlookers knowing their world is about to end.

It's estimated that WW2 killed from 75 to 80 million people, which is around 3% of the world population at the time, during its 6 year duration. This is just our little world, take in consideration the Holy War is a interstellar conflict with a multitude of worlds involved. Mind you war doesn't kill only through battles, logistic chains break as supply lines are cut to deny resources for the enemy, food and medice become harder to come by, social structures and services are severe weakened as the people who kept them running are send to the battle field. Famine, disease, collateral damage from bombing, and then you factor in violence towards the civilian population committed by occupying forces. 61 Billion its totally believable.

Ok, but, did Paul bring the Fremin to Caladan in the book 1 or 2? And if so, in which chapter? I really wanna read their reaction to... Water

In the second book there is a description of an ocean by one of the fremen. It's in the second or third chapter, I think.

It happens in between the books, but like @max_me_is says we get to read a Fremen describing the experience

I still don't get how 1 planet conquered the whole universe. I didn't read the books but the only way I see that happening is either with super powers or with VASTLY much more superior technology

It's that the one planet controls the spice, which is the only means of fast space travel, plus millions of the universes greatest fighters unleashed (with the sardaukar dead, there's no force to challenge them)
