Funny, I was just thinking "wow it's really something to see Lyle looking this young... but Nanci? She stayed this sweet young woman all her life, somehow." I mean I've seen pictures of her in her 50s and 60s and she still held onto that sweet gentle spirit of youth somehow.

Takes me back to 78 and 79 when I was at UT and lived a block behind the Hole In The Wall. Lyle played the Aggie scene and Nancy had a regular gig at the Hole. It was a different Hole back then, everyone was real. Many a night listening to Nancy sing and play her heart out. One night she even made a jesting remark about me, referring to someone in the audience as being obnoxious. There were only four people in there that night, and two of them were bartenders. I would just sit in the back mesmerized with her often. Enthralled by her shows every time. Fly on sweet Nancy on your beautiful angel wings.

My goodness, you are a lucky soul! Bless you. As a western Australian I was never able to see Nancy live, but I have been fortunate enough to see Lyle and his small band at the Perth concert hall. We had a huge storm as their plane was landing, so they were delayed and never had a sound check. They were absolutely brilliant, never missed a note. The best concert I have ever seen, and I have seen led zeppelin, so the bar is high!👍🙏🦘

Major kudos to the sound quality! For something that was recorded over 40-years ago, outside on a breezy day, at a party, and next to a road, it's amazing you were able to get anything other than back ground noise. This should be archived at the Library of Congrss.

WOW! Beautiful! Back in the '70's, I was aware of Nanci but not Lyle. Nanci played at my college around '76 or thereabouts. I got her album "There's A Light Beyond These Woods", on the original BF Deal Records - actually, she appeared on my campus with a host of artists from that label: Mike WIlliams, Allan Damron, Bill & Bonnie Hearn...damn good times in Texas back then.
