Patsy's voice was so bluesy. She's about the only "country" singer I've EVER liked. I'm 67 so that's saying alot.

This song never gets old. With the impact Patsy had on Country music, can we even imagine what she could have accomplished had she lived longer? From the time I was a young child, Iistened to her and sung her songs. I still sing them today.

On this day in 1962 {February 22nd} Patsy Cline performed "She's Got You" on the Dick Clark ABC-TV weekday-afternoon program, 'American Bandstand' At the time the song was at #36 on Billboard's Top 100 chart, five weeks later it would peak at #14 {for 1 week} and it spent thirteen weeks on the Top 100... And on March 25th, 1962 it reached #1 {for 5 non-consecutive weeks} on Billboard's Hot Country Singles chart... Between 1957 and 1990 the Virginia native had twenty* records on the Hot Country Singles chart, nine made the Top 10 with two reaching #1, "I Fall To Pieces" for 2 weeks in 1961 and the above "She's Got You"... She just missed having two more #1 records when both "Walkin' After Midnight" {1957} and "Crazy" {1961} peaked at #2... Two of her twenty charted records were duets with Jim Reeves... Ms. Cline, born Virginia Patterson Hensley, passed away at young age of 30 on March 5th, 1963 {plane crash}... * Eleven of her twenty charted records made the Hot Country Singles chart after her death...

My grandmother, the closest person to me in my entire life, loved Patsy Cline. She was obsessed with her music. My fondest memories are us dancing around with this record playing as we cleaned the house. Every time I hear her music it brings me to tears thinking of my grandmother and how I'd give anything to have just one more day with her again. It's amazing the power music has to bring you back to an emotion, a person

These songs though sad and about broken relationships were what people wanted, at the time women were expected to be silent about their husband's behavior, it was coming out to public view through these songs!! This was Patsy's bread and butter because the songs sold, but also suited her voice!! However Patsy could record any type of music!!

Kinda interesting how they made the song seem in Stranger Things. The song itself is about a woman who's sad that the one she loves is in love with another woman. But in Stranger things they only played the part that goes "She's got you." - which was when Hopper was looking at joyce. They kinda made it seem like the song was about a girl that's got your heart lmao.
