Hi, You may be wondering where videos #2 and #3 have gone. They were internationally blocked for copyright. I think this is in relation to "Article 13" (Google if needed). Unfortunately, I will be ceasing any compilation-making indefinitely (forever, if nothing changes). This video will likely be involuntarily taken down as well. Unfortunately, I don't think uploading to any other video-sharing sites will be of any use, as they would be bound by the same (seemingly harsh, now) rules as KZitem. I think you may find a lot of similar videos being taken down (not just mine) in the near future. Oh well, you can remain subscribed if you want, but I wouldn't blame you if you unsub. We can see what happens in the future.

That sounds...really croaky. I like bass notes that are smooth. Notes that sounds like a small step up from vocal fry aren’t that impressive, to me. I love smooth, almost “soft” bass voices the most. Soft, not as low in volume, but relaxing in texture, not jarring, but almost as if they’re melting through the notes.

I love this, seriously. :D Sometimes I practise along to these for fun - generally speaking I take the part of a high tenor or male alto although I can reach Bb5 when I've had too much to drink... Occasionally I like to sing along to either E. E. Lawson by the Ozark Mountain Daredevils (D2) or Daddy Sang Bass (B1). Until now I never that the female vocal was by Jan Howard. I'm trying to teach myself "Working on a Building" by the Oak Ridge Boys which goes down to Eb1. I would never dare sing bass or baritone live though! I can't keep it up (pardon the contradiction!) for too long! I wish I could remember the name of the bass singer in Cartoons DK - even though they were a cheesy pop band, supposedly he *could* reach those low notes and did so on live performances many times. I wonder if Pervis Jackson of the Detroit Spinners could have reached lower than the G1 he hit on "Working My Way Back to You". The highest note on that song is G#5, giving over four octaves' range on that one song. The pure physiological fact is that with every octave, the frequency of a note decreases by half. This is why singing low notes or high notes is hard - not because (as such) the note is unreachable, but simply we don't train our vocal cords to vibrate at over 1000 hertz!

Great video. Maybe check out Rodney Britt and Wes McKinzie, two of the greatest I've ever heard. Tim Storms is a friend and a ridiculous freak of nature. LOL. I've stood next to him when he sings so crazy low and heard it with my own ears. It's hard to believe a human can create such a low note/tone/sound. Tim, Rodney, and Wes are all friends. Rodney Britt has the most powerful and resonant bass voice I've heard live or on a recording. J.D. Sumner is the only one that gets somewhat close to his resonance, but Rodney still has more than J.D. I stood by Rodney one time when he was singing and could feel the ground vibrate under my feet, we were outside on grass. Could feel it in my chest and he wasn't mic'd, just singing right next to me. I'm friends with Rodney and have heard both him and J.D. live. Wes McKinzie is awesome and can go a few notes lower than a grand piano. Tim Foust is also a friend of all these guys. What's cool besides all their voices is the type of people they are. They are all very humble and nice guys. I've always enjoyed bass singers since a very young age. Thanks for making this video.

JD, Kennemar, Sterban, Younce, Ravenscroft, and Storms really beat the crap out off Barry, Avi, Foust, Franklin, and Castellucci. But JD is still the winner on top of all. He is the true king of bassos.

Not sure if you're aware of the Range Place, but that has actually been disputed and it's probable he didn't really hit those notes. I haven't really been following it (this case, I mean) that closely though

@@conrar1320 You're right. I found a video below with the following comment. kzitem.info/news/bejne/uJWwv42HmqmIiYY "He did a good job singing. However when The Jungle Book was being made at Disney George Sanders refused to sing as his character Shere Khan the tiger for the last lines of the song That's What Friends Are For. So a man named Bill Lee provided Shere Khan's singing to replace George Sanders."
