One idea with the EagleTac clip wear on the pocket is to take a thin file or very rough grit sandpaper and smooth down the machined grip just below the clip. Thank you for the flashlight demonstrations. I find these light output quality reviews very helpful.

Yes, I did. I changed batteries just before the test. Fenix PD30 makes a dark hole in the hot spot. Thanks.

Well Doc, I went all round the houses to find something better but in the end I came back to your suggestion & have now ordered your recommended torch. If anybody else hates the cool white like me make sure you order the D25A2 Clicky Neutral White XM-L U2. Because the torch will be an emergency light in the car I have bought a couple of throwaway AA lithium batts. They don't leak, hold charge in the cold, are more powerful & can be substituted by any AA batt. Many thanks for your advice Dr. Wako

@SuperMangn the' Fenix TK11' is your 'favorite' which is fine, but a 'favorite' is just apoint of view and not an absolute. The Eagletac 2CL2 Clicky XM-L use either CR123 or 18650 Li-ion and is reported to have a higher output of '260 lumens'. I have been using Surefire for many years, but have been very pleased with the Eagletac lights that I have recently bought and used. I have never tried a Fenix flashlight and I will check them out, thanks.

Thaks for the video, interesting choices. I am getting into flashlights as well, and upgrading my Preon 1 to a Sunwayman M11R. For work I want to get a AA light. Maybe I`ll look into the Fenix lights.

To walk with in darkness 4Sevens Quark Pro X has by far brighter and larger spill area than oters because of its shallow and orange peeled reflecor and its large XM-L LED. And it runs 1.5 hours or more. If you like a throwy light EagleTac D25C2 Clicky in XP-G is pretty bright and runs 1.5 hours or so. If you don't care about the size to put in your car JetBeam BC25 or Klarus XT11 is the brightest and runs 1.5 hours or so. Klarus is tactical too. Sunwayman's side switch is easy to break. Thanks.

I like EagleTac D25 very much too. The beam from the XPG is tighter and better for a distant illumination. Its stainless bezel seems tougher than only aluminium. Anyway my purpose is EDC and I enjoy the rotation. They are all nice. Thanks.

I agree with you about the Eagletac. I have the Eagletac D25C (Titanium) & D25C2 with XM-l-U2 and the new Eagletac G25C2 with the XM-L-T6. Most of my Surefire flashlights sit looking bloated and heavy.

I personally don't like the small XP-G because of its main beam narrowness. For indoor uses a large hot spot by the large XM-L is much more useful. EagleTac's XM-L Neutral White tint is nice. For mountain walking Neutral White gave me a better view. I didn't feel it was scarcer but much more comfortable. Even CR123A was exhausted faster than expected in mountains. I have EagleTac D25A2 Clicky Neutral White (AA) for indoor uses. I definitely like CR123A for outdoor. But AA is enough for indoor.

they are basically the exact same light. the head is the same, only the body length is different. the 4sevens site sells the clicky alone.

I like the Eagletac xpg very much but I am curious as to how these perform if these are dropped on concrete. Are they very durable and will function perfectly well after a fall or will they suffer damage to the operation of the light?

When the stakes are high, use only SUREFIRE or STREAMLIGHT flash lights (these are use by many elite militaries). Avoid the Fenix (5 of mine died in 2 years - costing me about $300. They all died within 12 months and the firm did not respond to my warranty repair requests)

A Fenix TK11 260 lumens is better than all those and takes a 18650 rechargable bettery which are way more economical than cr123.
