I have many petty physical insecurities I cope with on a day to day basis. By sharing some of the lessons and reminders I tell myself, I hope it can empower you to struggle well. No matter your physical insecurities whether it be face shape, crooked teeth, acne, nose size, skin, height, weight, wrinkles, hairline, scars, and many more, understanding why you think it’s flawed and confronting head on gives you the chance to make a choice. Whether to loathe the imperfection or to embrace them. In a world that is constantly trying to make you something else, to be yourself is one of the greatest accomplishments one can own.
Remind yourself that nobody on Earth thinks about you as much as you think they do and that you suffer more in your mind than in reality. Have faith and give meaning to your suffering.
We give too much weight on what others might think of us and let that be the standard we judge ourselves. Screw those limiters and go beyond them. My negative emotions are insecurities of myself portrayed to the world and a reminder that I have room to continuously improve. No matter what insecurities you struggle with, I challenge you to practice confidence and fall forward.
