There are some ideas for natural support in the video and I also have newer videos in the channel all focused on perimenopause and hormones changes. I have a blog, perimenopause.help, and there are ideas there too.

Migraines, headaches?? I get them for 2 or 3 days right before I start and for the first day or two of my cycle. I am soon to be 49. I eat mostly organic, non GMO ketogenic diet, no alcohol or smoking, taking adrenal, thyroid, and hormone balance supplements, whole foods multi, etc. I ran out of some of my supplements and after a couple months, I noticed sudden skin changes, thinning hair, migraines, fine facial hair....ugh I just came out of some horribly stressful years with illness in my family and loss of my son.

I am so sorry to hear about your son and the illnesses in your family. I wish you health and healing. Perimenopause and menopause can be so tricky and ever changing as far as symptoms go. I will try to cover migraines and headaches in a future video. Sounds like you are doing a lot of great things already!

Do you have any recommendations on what to take for heart palpitations during the hormones flux/perimeno? I’m miserable.
@DrShelleyMeyer
11 күн бұрын
The heart palpitations are often associated with anxiety but it's always best to be sure and talk about them with a healthcare provider to see if they are more than that. But if they are stress and hormone related natural products with l theanine and lavender can be helpful. And sometimes rhodiola or ashwaganhda, the description of the video has some trusted brands.

Thank you so much for this video but can you please do a video on what to take for someone that’s in menopause due to hysterectomy? ♥️🇨🇦

Sure! Also the end stages of perimenopause are basically when you start to have the same symptoms of being postmenopausal so the ideas can apply to both.

Thank you any thoughts on aswaghanda, re hormone stress?
@DrShelleyMeyer
3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I love ashwagandha. I use it often when there is a cortisol imbalance, which there often is during stressful times of life like perimenopause. Check out my cortisol/stress videos for more info. Thanks for watching!

Doc what's the symptom if you're allergic to soy or tufo?
@DrShelleyMeyer

A true allergy would be throat swelling, difficulty swallowing, shortness of breath,etc, but if it's an intolerance it could be bloating, abdominal pain or even diarrhea.

I wonder if I can be thought peri menoupase while suffering of Fibroids it started all 2 years ago I'm 44 now...and can I take black cosh if I have fibroids
@DrShelleyMeyer
2 жыл бұрын
There are various stages of perimenopause and the first few involve high estrogens or fluctuating estrogen. And fibroids can even exist after full menopause so they are tricky, but usually not symptomatic after menopause. Black cohosh is adaptogenic so it can both tone and increase estrogen but if you have not hit the last stage of peri or full menopause then it's better to have a blend. Many of patients like femguard balance by designs for health.

What about weakness
@DrShelleyMeyer
3 жыл бұрын
Weakness can be a symptom, but it can be a symptom of anemia, cortisol problems, thyroid problems- so many things so it's best to check it out with your provider as some labs can help narrow it down.

Doc am 25, I have painful intercourse, very low periods like 10 drops in one month,itchy vagina , loss of hair, do I have peri menopause?
@DrShelleyMeyer
Жыл бұрын
25 is not a normal age for perimenopause, and the symptoms you are describing are not always consistent with perimenopause. I would have your hormone levels checked with your provider, and check your thyroid and evaluate for any type of yeast infection.
