Ten additional suggestions as owner of various Model 3 since 2019: 1) stalks in the steering column; 2) parking sensors; 3) rain sensor; 4) adaptive dampers; 5) seats with extension of the seat base; 6) active noise cancelling making use of the 17 speakers; 7) alternative routes in navigation; 8) integration of speed cameras information from 3rd party sources (or Waze integration); 9) option to turn-on automatic closing of windows and AC recirculation when entering tunnels; 10) virtual queues for SuperChargers, with assignment of optimal charging stall.

Are you referring to the ‘vomit screen’? I can only think that the designers have never looked DOWN at a screen or paper or book or whatever for any length of time in a car? I think losing the indicator stalks is a backwards step, especially as these are haptic buttons, it's already been noted in the Model S when full locking the wheel you easily hit the indicator buttons, the drive mode being moved to the touch screen is a stupid idea, this is making the usability harder for the sake of saving $1 including a physical dedicated component, ,Tesla cars are fantastic but I get the feeling they just change things for the sake of changing them to be different, not due to improving safety or usability, they are taking the minimalist thing a bit too far, German competitors interiors are much more functional and user friendly, take the yoke steering wheel, after the novelty factor wore off, users found it was no good for day to day driving due to having to do multiple turn of the wheel to do 3 point turn, the steering system was not updated to account for the limitations of a yoke, it's a car not a plane, and you need to do 180-deg turns at times as I said changing something for the sake of it.

As a current model 3 owner I think improving the suspension is a great step forward. The current suspension is great in that the car does not roll into corners, however, with tyres at their pressure rating the ride is harsh (reduce tyre pressure a little to improve). The suspension also can thump a bit if it hits a bump in the road. However, having said that, overall it is a great car to drive with responsive steering and amazing acceleration. The bad things are no foot room in the back seat, dumb external door handles, seats that while reasonable are not as comfortable as a BMW 3 series seat, bad positioning of window controls on the driver side door causing accidental opening of rear window, cheap carpet material, not enough sound deadening for road noise, should have a HUD for speed and status info, and the multi functionality of the right hand stalk can be a problem (if you have just been driving a vehicle with the turn indicator on the right and want to turn left in the Tesla accidentally pushing the right stalk up at low speed it will put you in reverse, which is not such a good idea). Oh and while I am at it the whole way the door opens with a push button, but still has an emergency release handle seems pointless and should be redesigned. The there is autopilot, which although a great benefit a lot of the time has serious limitations. This is not FSD but as a taste of FSD it does not inspire confidence. I won’t go through all the issues here, but based on my own experience driving an Australian version it can cause accidents with a tendency to jam on the brakes too soon and too often. I would agree with the comments made about the updated model 3. Removing the stalks is just silly. Using the screen to select forward and reverse is dumb. If the screen fails the vehicle is dead in the water, you need to be outside aware when setting the vehicle in motion, not trying to focus on a screen and hitting/sliding your finger over it. More premium seats would be really good and get rid of the silly external door handles

Usual comments, needs HUD, needs this, needs that - having come from cars with a binnacle, HUD, buttons - you don’t need any of it.

My favorite Model 3 review to date!! Curious about the customizable fabric panel though. Is this an option you get once you place an order? I'm in the US so I'll have to keep my expectations in check... 😅

Great video, the display at the rear is bonkers as it is too low down and you will need to keep your down to watch movies etc. Removing stalks will hold this back and is not practical and i would even say unsafe!

The new Model 3 will take Tesla sales easily to 5.000.000 The Cyber truck will take it to 8 M. within 36 months. Tesla perfection, extremely high quality, Performance, safety, and lowest operating costs will crash any competitor.

Disagree about Tesla allowing Apple carplay or Android auto. Does your iPhone allow Android OS? Also, wrong on an optional upgraded seat material. There is a reason Tesla only has two major models and one giant of those...economies of scale through simplicity, common parts, etc. Must keep options to a min. to offer what they do.

Agree. No stalks is a dealbreaker. Would have liked to see a HUD or at least a dash. Lots of missed opportunities to make this truly the best ev in its segment.

Depends what criteria you use to define 'good'. Comfort? Build quality? 360 deg cameras? Presence/absence of stalks? I'm hoping 'stalk-gate' would end up the same way as their decision to delete radar followed by a quiet backflip. @@patmanrick

No indicator stalk will be a deal breaker for some, especially in the EU and most other places where they use roundabouts instead of intersections like in the US. I agree about the HUD too. I don't have kids, so there will very rarely be anyone in the back seat. I'd much prefer a HUD or an instrument cluster instead.

Decent review - no mention of blind spot indicator (or did I miss that?). Also there’s a comment about all those cameras and sensors - is the new model reintroducing sensors again @WhatCar as that would be interesting for parking safety - especially dark car parks with people crossing … just a wee bit of added safety to help spot crossing traffic/people would be good. While I can’t attribute this comment as been reading so many sites recently - I did read one ‘review’ that talked about HW4 (the next hardware motherboard and cameras) having connectors for sensors as well as connectors for cameras but have zero idea if any if that is true. As someone looking for a first EV, and have tried a test drive I’m still trying to work out how well Tesla does ‘night time’ sensing of obstacles/lane keeping, rain and stuff without sensors, just using cameras vs other models (not tried the Ford yet, which is allowed to drive on certain motorways in the UK, but presumably is using sensors) Anyway - thanks for the review - this helps answer (and ask more) questions)

Here in my country we have many roundabouts, it is not good that the switch for the blinker light is in the steering wheel. This must sit in a stem on the side of the steering wheel. This must be redone. Do not understand this is approved by the European authorities!!
