A friend and I used to study martial arts together. We were both big bio booster guyver fans, and would shout “GUYVER” at one another right before we would begin sparring in class. Your model takes me back.

I can attest to the course and say that it’s well worth the money. I’ve learned a lot. It’s taught me to reconfigure my workflow for the better.

Great update vid! (thanks for adjusting the intro volume, btw). One thing I noticed about lighting, they’re world lights, and for me it’s annoying that the light icons are always showing, so I found out you can drag them up off screen and the lighting is exactly the same. It’s a good work around until they offer a toggle for light icon visibility.

No worries on the sound. I’m not sure why we missed levelling it on earlier videos but the template is all sorted now. You are spot on about the world lights but you can just turn them off from the display setting>light icons. As long as they aren’t selected they are working but invisible. I’d like more that three next so I can highlight areas.

Great video Glen! I was shocked to see the amount of new features in the latest release. I’ve already gone through and gave them a go, but your video does a great job of detailing the changes. Now all we need is a bone based posing feature and I won’t have to fire up the PC until even later in my workflow! Keep these coming, great info as always!

Just FYI for the depth of field you can actually just “tap” on the area you wish to focus on in addition to using the sliders to control depth. Great video thank you!

Thanks, Glen. My favorite update is NUMERICAL INPUT. it drove me crazy trying to dial in settings with the sliders and pencil, very frustrating. My next wish would be a simple SELECT tool to select vertices without having to go through the mask & invert process...unless I’m missing something. It’s getting better & better! Any eta on the anatomy course? Thanks & peace! 🙏✌️🍺🎩🎩🎩

I used Autodesk 123D Sculpt+ for quite a while on the iPad Pro for an excellent feature-you could “paint” a photo directly onto your meshes (kind of like mud box)...and of course Autodesk have discontinued the app...I can’t find this tool in Nomad...am I blind, is it possible to paint/project photos directly onto models in Nomad? This was such an awesome tool to have on the iPad, I’d love to find something similar-hoping Nomad can do this!

As far as I'm aware not yet Noah. I would love that feature as I'm painting all textures by hand from scratch for now and decals are limited to shapes from an alpha. MAXON just bought Forger so if imagine there first release might have some additional features

very likely that adding extra lights is not memory limited but actually shader or hard coded in some way, especially with these temporally dithered stencil shadows are probably pretty heavy and get heavier with each added light 3 is a sensible limit. (also notice that the shadows arent smoothed on the turntable or when moving for example) I do wonder how this runs on something like the galaxy Tab S7... (have the 2018 ipad pro myself)

The one change that threw me was that the symmetry for primitives wasn’t initially available when selecting the type of primitive. I finally noticed it was selectable in the pre-validate menu. I also got thrown by the ‘solo option. I thought I’d lost my models eyes for a moment.

What are your favorite features of Nomad Sculpt that you would recommend to a beginner who never tried the app before? Is this a pro sculpting app or is it not at that level yet?
