I did this video because I couldn’t find a comparison between the less expensive Ox brake cable version and the more expensive Ox brake hydraulic version. The hydraulic version is about three times more expensive but much better. In fact, I only recommend the hydraulic version even though the cable lever arm version is quite clever.
I also discuss the Midwest Mountain 🏔 Engineering (I didn’t know there was mountains in the Midwest🤔) clutch lever which also works incredibly well. I go into the install a bit but it’s probably better install videos out there. However, the final set up and orientation is worth noting.
No affiliation with the companies ; no monetization links affiliation codes or whatever.
Also note the reasons why you may want to put on a left hand lever break. For me it’s for right hand turns, controlling wheelies and as I find more and more, pretty much staying on the pegs with my toes the whole time. I didn’t mention it in the video but I have an electric KTM freeride I love it because I always stay on my toes. I’m finding my style is transitioning to stay with better body position (see Ryan Hughes videos) with pretty much consistent toes on the pegs.. Anyways just think about why you want a left-hand lever break for the rear wheel.
