For this week’s tour video we tour the Pardee Rd. crossing in Taylor, MI while waiting for NS 1071. This is another typical NS setup with incandescent lights still on the mast but more modern bells and gate mechanisms.
This crossing sees about 15 trains in a 24 hour period, some of those being CPKC trains running over the line via trackage rights.
All summed up this is a pretty common spot for railfanning the Detroit District, i’ve never had any issues here. and there’s a couple fast food restaurants and gas stations which is very convenient.
Hope you enjoy today’s video!
