Merits of this service 1 more running time and slack time 2 would certainly run behind schedule even after giving lengthy schedules 3 least preference even freight might overtake 4 night robbery with double charge even after all the above points 5 change In terminal station making it more inconvenient 6 using the same rake of ordinary train and and canceling original train making everyone to force to use this service So on total a win win situation to both bus lobby and swr well played guys😡🙏

Excellent point anna. In addition to this, I don't understand the point of collecting special fare from trains running from many years like Vijayapura - Mangaluru Express and Hubballi - Rameswaram Express. There should be a rule which states that after a certain amount of time, a special train needs to be regularised. IR is simply looting the people.

If they have changed the terminal to smvt and also runned a special train to clear extra rush means it's a fair one but using the same rake of cancelled train is not fair. If they can run the special train using same rake means they should have changed the terminal like vasco express. They are misusing what the "Garib Rath" meant to be 🙃.

You know what, a somewhat kind of scam used to happen between Bilaspur(BSP) to Visakhapatnam(VSKP) for 18517, E.Co.R will always be notorious to cater to people of Northern Andhra, The train used to have very fewer seats and General quota, heck with that, the majority of passengers used to board this train from RAIPUR Jn., some 180 KM after Bilaspur, but only those tickets used to get confirmed whose reservation was from preceding Bilaspur on Tatkal, over the top of it, finally when Visakhapatnam ceded from E.Co.R and soon will be becoming the part of S.Co.R( New Zone approved), Now thankfully management in VSKP is completely independent and they hence put RSA with Another train for 18517 and hence more coaches, and hence no chance of political discourse as leashed by Bhuvneshwar over Northern Andhra people.

Very True.. Really disappointed with the way SWR is running its trains after getting an informal approval from Bus lobbies. Many trains connecting to Pune/Mumbai/Kerala are not getting approved in first place citing various constraints. No speeding up of trains are being allowed by SWR. One classic eg. SWR faced operational, terminal constraints when planned for Ernakulam BNC VB but didnt have any issues for running MDU BNC VB. Similarly another major scam by SWR is in operation of faster trains between Bengaluru -Pube/Mumbai. Udyan was in the recent news for the same reasons. And the top Brass at Board level are either ignorant or chose not to interfere

Total slash at departure timings and confusion to passengers for 15 days. Same had happened in Egmore TPJ line as Tambaram was closed between 30 july to 21 Aug 2024. Not only railways but also bus valas taxi valas and autovalas made huge fortune by mess up on Chennaites and those visiting Chennai from south. Thanks

There's very limited trains to Kerala and majority go through Tamil Nadu so it becomes really difficult to get seats usually . Come Onam the possibility to get a train seat is almost impossible , so people have to pay 2.5k to 5k for a seat in private bus. Flights are not viable either , coz for most people they would have to spend equal amount of money on a flight as to get a cab to reach their particular native , and the time taken for the whole trip will almost equal the time taken via bus or train. For past few decades people have been pushing to get a new track via Mysore directly to Kerala without going through Tamil Nadu, which would reduce the travel time significantly and allow for more probability of getting seats. But so many parties are trying to be huge obstacles for this to come to fruition . But anyways after so many decades there seems to finally be a small ray of hope that this route will be made viable in the coming years and the government and railways has started planning and other procedures to initiate the starting of acquiring land and construction. That would be of great help , hopefully people will get it before all these people immigrate abroad , making this whole project pretty useless and to late to be of great benefit.

The reason for the line not getting clearance is the forest. A solution has to be made so that minimum damages are made if not this route will never see any light. To be honest, the amount of landslides happening is an indication that we have been doing things not right when it comes to forests and hills. Hopefully some one will find a solution for this. Yes, I am not where related to Kerala. I am just a rail enthusiast who felt disappointed by this move of running a special train with Garib Rath coaches almost in the same slot.

Sir, today I spotted this kcvl - smvb special at BYPL. It is running with same garib rath 3AE rake and the route is via kjm/bangarapet. Not via Hosur/Dharmapuri. There were hardly any passengers onboard. Maybe just 30-40 that's it. But I guess this train has been given priority. It arrived 1.5 hrs earlier that it's scheduled. I didn't know the reason why this rake is being used as I didn't know about the ypr platform works untill I saw your video now. Btw, at bypl it seemed to me like the rake was being transferred and the coaches were brand new, neat and tidy!!!
