Idk the guy your making the video about and this just came across my feed.. is $150 fair for the stuff he bought? No.. anyone who knows anything about reselling knows that’s very cheap. But the seller mentions $250.. is that fair? No it’s not.. and in all honesty had the guy put the price out first he probably would have paid the $250.. still doesn’t make it fair. No shade at the person making this video either but, if you do this as a hobby opposed to doing something for a living then it’s a different game. I heard you mention chase after the right price. You are aware that that is a full fledged business correct? Full time employees, overhead, etc? Do you know what it cost to have a full time employee? You said it yourself almost every selling platform has fees associated with it. So would you say paying 70% of an items value is “fair”? You sell an item for $100, after fees you take home $85, you paid $70, your profit is $15. $15 you still have to pay taxes on. So in order to make $1,000/wk with your logic you have to sell 67 $100 items every week (this is still before paying taxes and not factoring in any of the work/expenses to sell said items. Shipping materials aren’t free nor is your time). If your looking at a reseller paying 50% of market value or trying to get a deal where he can make money then maybe consider what goes into the business side of it. Now this is not saying what this particular guy did is ok or fair. Bc $150 is extremely cheap. But, using your logic on some of the other points you hit on throughout the video I definitely disagree with. A successful business does not operate at a 15% profit margin especially on a smaller scale. Just some food for thought..
@steviefreakinc

It's an ongoing debate honestly, either you're on the side of being unhappy about it or you're on the side of all is fair in love and war. I have no issues with resellers other than when they do scummy stuff like Philly did in this video. I'm just morally not capable of running a business where I have to rely on the ignorance of others. And as far as Chase goes, I would say check out a few of my videos I did on him. He's not exactly as good of a guy as you would think. And I've sold items before so I know how much time and effort it is and honestly man I would rather work a regular job than do that all of the time. Reselling is like gambling your livelihood and with the popularity of the trend, it's only going to become a harder thing to do and more cutthroat.

@@steviefreakinc I’m in the sports card industry I buy and sell.. I’m not saying that I condone what he did in the video. I actually rarely ever do a deal with someone who is unaware of what they have. But in the instance that I do I do take that time to educate them a bit and I price out everything myself in front of them. But as a business I need to operate on certain margins and I relay that to anyone that I buy from. And I will definitely take a look at those videos. But yes this is all depending on perspective and personal experience to formulate an opinion. No one is wrong because at the end of the day if the buyer and seller leave a deal happy that is what matters.

I’m in Canada, so in total I paid $105 for this bag. I tried to cancel, but he declined. That I can see as an issue to overlook. What the issue is, is it arrived in terrible condition. It was very dirty, with crumbs inside, food/makeup stains and multiple rips and tears that were not mentioned whatsoever. In the video he described it as a beautiful bag. To ship it, he folded the bag (it’s a tote bag) in half, and put one piece of brown paper over it. Nothing to protect it on the bottom. I reached out to him on whatnot and he blocked me instantly. No reply at all from him. I also reached out to whatnot but they’re not getting back to me. Beware of this guy. Seriously!!! It is not “trolls” ruining his business. It’s him! Housing in Florida expensive? His house is probably low to mid $300,000, triple that in Oregon or Cali so no housing isn’t that expensive in Florida and it’s actually very affordable for first home buyers. The other guy had a similar nice house too, maybe he didn’t need the money, right? I dunno man, you keep contradicting yourself. This just seems like bottom of the barrel, hate content made for low lives. Add jealousy into the mix.
@steviefreakinc

Well let’s say for a moment that you see a $100 game selling for $75, I’d consider that a deal, or maybe it’s selling for $50, that’s also a deal. I don’t believe you need to get it for $5 I mean that’s 5% what it’s worth lol. But if you fine tooth comb my videos I’m sure you could point out inconsistencies because it’s not something I script out, it’s just for entertainment. My brother and his family live in FL and he has told me that it is expensive in comparison to their wages. They also have to have home insurance because of the terrible weather which is something I factored in based on the information I was given but you may have not considered that since I didn’t mention it and you probably don’t have a relative in Florida that you’ve discussed housing with. It is possible that the seller had some basic knowledge of value or he may have even known that he was giving his stuff away dirt cheap. But if you watch a lot of my videos on resellers, they are deceitful a lot with people to obtain a better deal. So I wasn’t willing to cut any slack on Philly because I’ve seen him do that before. I would suggest checking out another video I did on him called “The Worst Reseller on KZitem” because he is far worse in that one. I’d also like to clarify that I don’t dislike every reseller, just when I see a scummy move or patterns throughout their channel.
@OhmegadJT
Ай бұрын
@@steviefreakinc Home insurance was definitely factored in. Who can forget the hurricanes… but it depends on where exactly you live in Florida. If you’re paying $4000+ annually then you’re either in a high risk zone, haven’t taken proper measures to protect your home to reduce those costs or haven’t shopped rates with a broker. The lower housing cost makes up for the higher insurance rates and the average hourly wage is comparable to many states anyway. Obviously entry level minimum wage jobs won’t be able to afford this but where would it? Arkansas, that’s where… but then you live in Arkansas. Even for apartments, $1500/m for a dinky crummy one in Oregon is like luxury living in Florida lmao. Florida has like one of the top economies in the country too. If you put in the work with side hustles like reselling, it makes Florida one of the smoothest sailing states in live in in terms of affordability. If it’s as tough as your brother says, then we should commend Philly for making it possible through reselling and the KZitem gig. Having said that, I do agree $150 was too low LOL even if the seller was ecstatic about it. Not sure if you saw this but a subscriber reached out to a reseller Lockernuts, paid him about $6500 for a unit full of video games/sealed collectibles. After all was said and done, he made around $60,000 off of it. Percentage wise it’s a similar “lowball” to Phillys $150 for $2000 but you won’t hear any criticism there. Which I know, life doesn’t work like that, $6500 is much better than $150 but we’re talking bout insane profit margin these two made and in a way the Lockernuts one is worse because he made TENS OF THOUSANDS rather than a couple thousand like Philly. The subscriber, dunno his story but essentially was forced to get rid of his lifetime collection because he was moving and Lockernuts couldn’t even throw him 10K, knowing full well of the value because he’s purchased from him before! But hey, he’s seems like nice guy so he gets a pass. Not a single comment even has a hint of criticism on that video.

The sad thing was that the owner had a general idea of what some of his stuff was worth online. Yet he didn’t even try to counter him when he got bent over off the rip. My best advice especially with big lots like that, have your comps for every item off the jump. It may take a couple or a few hours of your time, but it’ll be worth it in the long run. Then if the reseller wants to walk away let them.
