Great video. I am making a career change because I know that I need to be in sales. This vid summed up a great checklist for me, already. Thanks, Brandon!

I have been selling over the phone for many years now, and I find in my profession, it’s much easier to sell to women. Women tend to be less grumpy and dream about how they want to help others and make a difference in the world. Whereas men tend to be very frugal and you have to really work the call to get the dream you are selling to be worth it to them. This has always been an issue for me. I am very successful for who I sell to, but I know I’m leaving a lot of opportunity out there when I can’t get a dream planted in a disagreeable frugal man on the phone. I wonder if anyone else has these problems. Don’t get me wrong, I just spoke with a man that’s going to buy, but it’s usually the men who are in the caring professions and who have a passion like women do to help people. I am very adaptable to temperment but I still have trouble with frugal people. Sorry just rambling but men and women are very different and I only end up selling 1/4 men. The rest women!

I have started in a business that is "an easy sale", however I have noticed that I am very resistant to approaching people. I need to get over this because this is what I am depending on for my new chapter in life. I do need tips and scripts to help me move forward. On your last poing #7, we have a zoom call daily for sales reps. One of the sales people who is experienced, drops one of the cost of getting started in the company in order to "sweeten the deal" for the customer. You reinforced that point very well. Thank you. Hope to gain more sales knowledge through more videos. Flo B

Interesting video. Just got a job in phone sales I have made over 1000 calls a week these last three weeks with what I would call little success. I'll let you know how I do this next week after watching this video. My major takeaways right now: assumptive language, match pace/tonality/personality of my prospects more, and asking more questions.

@@OChops2013 actually really well! People are really responding to my taking a much more casual approach. I stopped the fake enthusiasm. I’m also asking more questions and letting my prospects talk more, not jumping at the first bit of silence to start talking again. Im still just cold calling but I was able to quote 15 people today and wrote 5 apps (still got two hours left), which is much more than I was doing last week. This technique is called mirroring a form of nlp and it doesn’t actually always work! What actually sales is this do you have a amazing product, is it a great deal, decent price, dose the prospect have a need / want for the product and are you knowledgeable on the product is the deal better than the competition etc. Basically products actually will sell themselves if they are any good

totally not true. I have been selling on the phone for 30 years. I only watched the first minute because he is wrong from the get go. You do NOT mirror image the prospects tone or speed. First of all, many prospects will try to speak slow and sound unethusiastic just to trying to set you back. If this guy knew anything about selling or even read one book. I have read many including Zig Ziglar, he would know that 80% of selling is enthusiasm. Why would anyone buy something if you are not excited about your own product. How you going to do that by talking in monotone and slow for example. Remember sales is a battle .. His job is to keep you down and you job is do the opposite. Always do the opposite if the client is not a lay down. For example.... the prospect says i'm not interested. Your rebutle is "Of course your intereseted" Not, 'your not interested, why?". Another example, " i have to check with my wife" which is an objection. Response..... "You don't have to check with your wife, she is out buying a dress right now on your credit card."... I tell you what i will do for you!!! And Close.... Always Be Closing.
