I was thinking the same. I grew up in Washington, but live close to where Adam lives now... I was thinking when he said lake, I'm pretty sure that's the sound. I think it was just a natural assumption for Adam because here in Central Florida, there are so many huge lakes. (Washington also has a lot of lakes, so if you don't really know that Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia sit right on the bay, you might just think you're seeing a lake...idk. It definitely looked like the bay to me. 😆)

You would love Port Townsend, WA. Take the Edmonds Kingston ferry over and it's about 45 minute drive or so. It's historic and amazingly beautiful. There's an old military base where an officer and a gentleman was filmed the hotel is still there also. And one of the most haunted places too supposedly.

Crosby was born on May 3, 1903,[16][17] in Tacoma, Washington, in a house his father built at 1112 North J Street. In 1906, his family moved to Spokane in Eastern Washington state, where he was raised.[18] In 1913, his father built a house at 508 E. Sharp Avenue.[19] The house sits on the campus of his alma mater, Gonzaga University, as a museum housing over 200 artifacts from his life and career, including his Oscar

I drive by that church everyday on the way home from work everyday and didn't realize that was there. That road with the signal into that area is pretty new as well so maybe that's when it showed up in that location. Also another worlds fair bit of info is the skyway buckets that were used at the worlds fair in Seattle were moved and re-established at the Washington State Fairgrounds in Puyallup. The main station for the skyride sits right an an intersection and you can see the buckets sitting there, usually covered up though to protect from the elements. when the fair isn't going on.

I lived in Sumner for over 10 years, never knew there was a drive-thru church there. But that retention pond was just blocks from where I lived. And I had no idea that the old Bubbleator had ended up in Redondo. I was inside that many times as a child. City of Seattle must've sold it, it was built for the 1962 Seattle World's Fair, when I was 5 years old. Thanks, Adam!

I love the cobblestones but if you hit one of those pot holes wrong they will mess up your back. A little history on some of the building's downtown. The one with the clock tower is Old City Hall. It was city hall until the 1970s when they moved to the Rhodes Medical Art building, the building you showed around the 10:20 mark, which is now called the Tacoma Municipal Building. The lobby and stairwell of the municipal building still have the original Art Deco design. Old City Hall has been vacant for several years now but it's being remodeled into a co-working space. Just recently the started working on refurbishing the clock, which has it's own story to tell. If you believe in ghost and the paranormal, The Spar, the building in Old Town with the mural, and Old City Hall, especially the jail in the basement, are supposed to both be very haunted. The old parking garage that's covered in graffiti near Old City Hall is also supposed to be extremely haunted but it's tied more with the occult. It's definitely been nice to see downtown come back from where it was in the '90s. It wasn't in great shape and we were at risk of losing a lot of the old buildings down there. Lastly, Bob's Java Jive was in "Love You to Death" with Keanu Reeves and River Phoenix. The rumor is Keanu offered to buy it and move it to Hawaii but the own turned him down. You can still play pool at the same table they did in the movie.

We have bars in the Pacific Northwest called McMenamins. There's one in downtown Tacoma called the Elks Temple. It is incredible, I call it our Disneyland of the Pacific , just because of how overly themed everything is. We have them here in Portland Oregon too, quite a few of them. McMenamins Edgefield here in Troutdale Oregon used to be a women's monastery. In fact at 7:46 you show the Elks Temple at the End of the Street it's the big white building at the End of the Street

Around 23 years ago, I was in a Christian metal band that played in Tacoma. Our vocalist was from there so we stayed a week at his parents house. At home in Oklahoma we were on a 40 or 50 day streak of triple digit temps. In Tacoma it was sunny and 70 degrees the whole week. Our vocalist's father kept telling us that we had no idea how lucky we were because as much as people talk about the amount of rain they get in Tacoma and Seattle, it is actually worse than people say. It rained on us once for 20 minutes the entire time we were there! Welp, that's my story! Stay punk folks!
