Arizona Fairy Shrimp says that Algae and water de-chlorinators kill them... and to feed mostly baking Yeast. -Will see if I have luck with mine... -Cheers! (I hear that a clacium source is important to Grow them to adults, so they can breed.) Saltwater brine shrimp are pretty easy if the water does not get too warm. I hope the Fairy Shrimp will be okay...

Thank you for your suggestion. As a result of asking someone who is familiar with this field, I heard that if the environment changes rapidly, those species may die suddenly due to stress. The part where I managed the fishbowl and the part where I suddenly took it back made them die....

Actually, baker's yeast is not enough of a food... they need algae, too.. Some people hatch them in pure distilled water... or Spring water with no de-chloinators... then grow them in a tank with a sponge filter (very Slow large bubbles)... and algae growing all over the back and bottom for food, too. Can also feed some Fry food and Spirulina powder... The yeast can pollute the water, if too much... and with no filtration. You have to grow the fairy shrimp for a few days, before you can use the sponge filter to maintain clean water.... or the bubbles can kill them, or the filter can suck them up. :O -If you have a previously set up tank with algae growth, it will help... or you might feed the babies some Green Water. -If your friends have more tips, please share! I am starting to have a few survive... not an expert, that's for sure. I hope I made enough failures and mistakes, now... Dirty water. Low Oxygen... Too much Sun (heated the water too much). Wrong foods, just Yeast... nope. I added hornwort from my fish tank... I think it has Copepods (I saw a Cyclops) and maybe Scuds in it... They can eat the eggs or babies. Some de-chloinators are toxic, too... for these guys. Good luck, everyone. (if somebody has the perfect setup, please share!) Aloha, -Scotty on Maui.

Do not feed yeast, it fouls up the water fast and causes growth of all the nasties you don’t want in the water.

@@tecoma After my fishbowl had the deadly bacteria bloom, the Nitrogen Cycle completed itself.. A few fairy shrimp hatched when I topped off the water. They grew to adult size without feedings. They grew in the Green Water algaes that died.. and the mulm that formed, as it settled on the bottom. So, beware of feeding too much. Maybe a slight haze is all. Cloudy will kill them.

No salt with Fairy Shrimps... These can be really hard to raise after they hatch. Sea Monkeys (brine shrimp) are soooo easy!
