So beautiful! Never seen a DK2 in midnight blue sparkle finish, like my Roswell Rhoads

I agree completely. I love the Eerie dress and Crimson Swirls. The closest thing to this Sparkle is the SL27, which is a beautiful, but I played one and just did not care for it. Especially at the price point it’s at.

Beautiful specimen! I love Jacksons. I tried to find one of these when they came out and couldn't find one. I later ended up with the Performer HSS which I also loved with a red flame top. I got rid of that one after my grandaughter knocked it over and really messed up the neck. I should have had it repaired, but I now have the DK3M Pro HSS with Duncans, that is a killer guitar.

Aww, hate to here that, but things like that happen unfortunately. The good news is that you have a great replacement. I’ve considered getting a DK3M before.

Crazy thing is I have almost the exact same guitar but as a lefty. I put chrome hardware, removed the tone pot and put the volume in it's hole instead and put the same cap on the original volume hole , put emgs but actually routed the neck for a humbucker so it has a nice chrome 81/85 set now and I dremeled a cap for the middle pickup cavity in pickguard material to hide it. I put an OFR though and did the exact same configuration on a black example I bought new in 2008 but kept all the hardware black, 81/85, middle pickup cap, OFR etc... this color is incredibly rare especially in lefty though so that's cool even though it was refretted with ultra tiny frets for a reason so the black one is easier to play plus has sentimental value. I'm looking for another neck though, I'm keeping it it's just too cool and it's my spare in one of my bands now. Side note, for the Gotoh it's normal that the cavity is too short because the original JT580LP is a low profile Floyd, an OFR or fr1000 is drop in though. And for the Gotoh posts I bought brand new OFR ones, you have to replace the bushings on these Jacksons but the hole is the right size and it works perfectly. I do that when I fit Gotoh Floyd's too, it works wonders. Except for the Ibanez cause the posts are drop in actually so that's a plus! Those mij Jacksons are amazing, the other guitarist in one of my bands swears by them he has 5 or 6. Best bang for the buck along with the mij RGs on the used market

That’s great information. Thank you for that. It is such a beautiful finish in person. Very cool that you were able to get one as a lefty. That’s super rare. I have two MIJ Jackson’s now and I have to agree that they are amazing.
