Good day, I don't have gelatin sheets here, we only have gelatin powder. Can I know how many grams of gelatin powder and water to bloom the gelatin?

1 tsp gelatin powder equals 1-2 gelatine sheets, so you can use around 1 tsp for this recipe ☺️ the bloom value of the gelatin I use is 240

I would say 12-26 depending on how big they are ☺️ yes you can add coloring paste but not in very big amounts, as this can make the cream split because there’s chocolate in it ☺️

I haven’t experimented with a vegan version so I cannot share my experience with that unfortunately. Agar agar would give a different texture so I would probably try with vegan gelatine instead ☺️

Very great video tutorial. I'll have to try this ganach. I know I don't like very sweet desserts....My mom always made stuff with heavy whipping cream instead of butter cream.

In my country gelatine sheets are not easily available...what would be the weight in powder form.

1 tsp of gelatin powder approx equals = 1-2 sheets of gelatine (or that 1 teaspoon = 1-2 leaves), so you need around 1-1,5 tsp powder ☺️

@@louiselindbergpastry thanks for your reply Louise, I don't want to substitute powder, but over here in Aust the sheets come in different strengths (gold silver etc) so we go by weight not by sheet so wondering how much your sheets are in gms please

Yes, you can ☺️ I would however perhaps add more gelatin for an even firmer texture as the cream isn’t as hard as buttercream 🩷
