Had a journeyman explain it to me this way when adjusting the txv. “When you stick it in when you’re having sex it gets hotter when you pull it out it gets colder same thing applies here” and he said it just so I can get the idea. And it stuck haha

You mention a good superheat is 8-12°F. This may be a good starting point but Hussmann, H/P, etc. all specify 3-5°F for low temp cases and 6-8°F for medium temp cases.

Its not hard .. instead of one compressor you are just dealing multiple compressors tied together to maintain the suction group. Most of the techs I know got into racks by a friend someone just gave them a shot. Meeting guys at parts houses asking if they are looking for someone. Electrical in the panels and pressures of the racks is what we mostly have to deal with. What SST racks should be at and the systems that are tied to them. Hope that helps a little

Great stuff, but understand - the people watching these are beginners hearing it for the first time. Yes, you know your business, but if it could be said a little more "teacher-ly" and a little less sounding like the flight attendant who has said the routine so many times they're just so blase-bored with it all, it would be appreciated. (Esp. at minute 1:00 where the measurements are being set up. Am still doing repeats because I can't understand the audio. Sounds too much like the flight attendant.)

@refrigerationconfidential4376

It was a gas conversion going from 408A to 448A. Ice cream soft due to the down time of the conversion. I’m checking S/H to see how much off superheat was.
