I will be 69 in a couple of weeks, and I’ve been using prescription tretinoin every night from my forehead to the base of my chest, and from my fingertips to elbows for many years. I am excellent with sun protection and I’m very disciplined with skincare. I have to admit my hands still bother me. My skin is clear, no sunspots/brown spots, they are clear and even toned, bur the veins and loose skin still look unattractive. I’ve been hoping the tretinoin would thicken the skin and help with the transparent, loose, think skin on my hands…but that’s not yet happened! Perhaps I need to consider Radiesse. I do use any serums and skincare used on my face, neck and chest is applied to my hands as well, and I use very good skincare. I’ve never experienced any irritation at all on my hands from using prescription tretinoin. I do wear gloves when I’m out during the day.

I use tretinion on my hands at night and it certainly has kept the brown spots at bay plus suncreen and driving gloves. My daughters will tease me and say i look like a burn victim. I'm 67. I do have noticable veins which i have had for over 2 decades or more. I am beginning to wonder if there isn't a genetic component to that. My mother had noticable veins and I have 3 daughters, whom one is your age and only she has the noticable veins, though still yet young looking hands. She is like me. She doesn't care for the hot sun. My dad on the other hand had very soft hands to the touch, even though he had a blue collar job all his life. I may have taken that from him as my hands are very soft and not wrinkled. Veins are not ideal but if I had to choose those over brown spots from the sun, I would any day. Any thoughts on my genetic hypothesis?
