Love this song, but then again it’s Roy Wood, pure genius ❤

The single had the inscription 'with special thanks to Brian Wilson and Neil Sedaka for their influence". The vocals all sound very reminiscent of The Beach Boys to me.

You're not alone. At least we're still here and so is he. I would love to hear some new music while we're still here. There aren't many talented musicians left.

Such a shame that he had all the trouble recording because of Don Arden and stopped performing for a while in the middle to late 70's. He was arguably at his peak.

Roy wood did this brilliant song on lift off with ayshea oct 1973 and jan 1974 ,as much as I would love it to be from a missing clip from lift off ,as so little survives ,I'm going to say it's not ,I know what the lift off studio scenery looked like each week from the season 73 and 74 ,and this is definitely not the studio set up they used .

Brilliant woody at his best the most underated singer /songwriter ever. Pity so much of lift off was wiped as when grandma plays the banjo (such a rare clip)and california man were performed together on it. Lovely to see rick with woody Lovely man and so missed.

As far as I recall on the lift off episodes guest lists ,roy wood appeared with the move or wizard or solo a total of 9 different editions of lift off the one I would like to see again is where roy performed with wizzard angel fingers and on the same edition he did forever it was broadcast october 1973 .
