Sheldon Currie is an award-winning writer who lives in St. Andrews, Nova Scotia. He has published novels, short stories, and plays, all set in industrial Cape Breton. In this short documentary Sheldon recounts his upbringing in the Cape Breton mining village of Reserve Mines, the challenges and importance of telling Atlantic Canadian stories, and the inspiration for his most successful novel: "The Glace Bay Miners Museum", which was made into the internationally acclaimed movie "Margaret's Museum" starring Helena Bonham Carter.
