Heard a friend that removed the central wire support, not "obligatory", and used a slim fan under it, to fit in ~80mm clearance cases. And still gets 35mm RAM clearance this way, fit for some Lpx corsair, kingston hyperX, or any vlp kits. Awesome

The AXP is quieter and hotter is understable But how about the AXP use the thicker fan (fan swap)?

I think a thicker fan might work

Personally I'd slap a Noctua A12x25 fan on it. Just waiting on said fan, and I'll probably put this cooler in my 9700 non-K. I can post my findings when that hapoens if anyone is interested?

@@IndraBuanaComsorry about the long wait, supply and demand issues.. 🙃 Anyways, here are my findings: 10 minutes of CB R23 on an i7 9700 non-K produced a max temp of 74°C at about ~160 watts with the stock fan, swapping it for an A12X25 on it and the number dropped to 71°C, but it was noticably quieter. That was the highest number I could pull on this CPU since it doesn't allow for overclocking. I maxed the power limits however. For comparison, a be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 maxes out at around 66°C. Room temps was about 19°C for all test runs. I hope you find this helpfull.

Thank youu. Wow thats the great of you@@Zidakuh Quiter fan but cooler is very good. Dark Rock waay cooler. But where I live, it cost almost twice of SI-100 😂

I want to use the SL-100 to cool my R9 5900x, so It would be more interesting if you use high power cpu for testing, sorry for my bad english.

English is good and depends on the case and overall airflow. This is a down facing cooler, so what's your case and overall airflow like ?

is the si-100 good for a r7 5800x or i should get the frost tower? my case is a coolermaster nr200 it can fit both but i like the si-100
@WELSHYTECH

Well, the si-100 has a tdp of 210w, so it would be just fine, but personally, the Frost tower looks better and would also be better if you ever upgrade to new intel or newer amd cpus

Silverstone sg13 (sugo 13) will be usable with this taller cooler? of course using sfx psu.
@WELSHYTECH
Жыл бұрын
that case supports 61mm height coolers and the si is taller but the AXP is 52 so will fit but it will be close
