STOP! If you haven't watched this video ( • How to play a rebound ... ) first and you don't feel comfortable with the material in it, spend at least a week with it before watching this video about alternating strokes. Do the exercise with me each day for that week and you'll see improvement!
Okay, provided you're playing relaxed free strokes, this is the next step in our journey to get better hands! Here we're stringing free strokes together to play a single stroke roll. Granted, we're doing it very slowly, slow enough that a lot of you might get super bored and click to another video. I'm telling you though, this is not a waste of time. If you can stay relaxed, and learn to weave these single strokes together at slow tempos, alternating the single strokes right left right left and also left right left right, you'll soon be able to work up to faster tempos, and then even faster tempos still. Pay the price, play slow, get comfortable, and slowly build up speed.
