I read a book back in the early 70s said that it is OK to root in water, but not to leave in the water too long before being transplanted to earth because the root system that develops for gathering nutrients from water varies somewhat from what it would for earth. I am no expert, but there could be something to this, Hu? It's something to keep in mind while propagating. Love your videos!

What my wife does with those cuttings in water is to wait until there is some evidence of root formation, then she puts them in a light mixture of potting soil mixed with lots of pearlite. That seems to do the trick for her. I'm glad you enjoy the videos, and thanks for your comments. Best Wishes, "Forever Figs"
