Spicy Jeera Aloo | Cumin Potato Fry | मसालेदार ज़ीरा आलू | Ami's Cooking
This Jeera Aloo Recipe is extremely easy and quick to make as well as it's all time favorite of everyone in the family. You can make this as fasting food, lunch box delight or any lunch or dinner quick fix. Please do give this recipe a try and enjoy the deliciously spicy jeera aloo.
Spicy Jeera Aloo Making :
Ingredients :
Salt To Taste
500 Grams Potatoes
1 Tbsp + 1 Tsp Cumin Seeds
1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
2 Dry Red Chilies
2 Tbsp Raw Peanuts
1/4 Cup Peanut Oil
1 Tsp Sesame Seeds
1 Tbsp Amchur(Dry Mango Powder) or Chat Masala
1 Green Chili Cut
1/2 Lime Juice
1/2 Cup Chopped Coriander Leaves
Method Of Making Spicy Jeera Aloo :
1. Add 1 tsp salt in boiling water and add potatoes.
2. Cook 10 minutes or until potatoes are well cooked.
3. Remove potatoes from water, cool completely and then peel the potatoes.
4. Put a large pan on low heat and add 1 tbsp cumin seeds.
5. Roast 3 minutes and add black pepper. Roast another 2 minutes.
6. Add dry red chilies and turn off the heat.
7. Remove everything and cool completely. Grind medium coarse.
8. Add peanuts and roast 5 minutes on medium flame. Remove and keep until ready to use.
9. Add oil in the same pan and keep high heat.
10. Add cumin and sesame seeds. Let it splatter and add peeled potatoes.
11. Roast until golden by stirring frequently.
12. Add ground masala, amchur or chat masala, salt, peanuts and mix well.
13. Add green chili, lime juice and stir everything.
14. Add chopped coriander and delicious jeera aloo is ready to serve.
