LOL I love the running commentary. :) I'm getting my glow plugs done this weekend (thank you helfpul handy friend) and though my friend knows what's up, this video really helped me get a better sense of the whole process. Thank you!

Rub some of that luck on me I got number 4 out it was snug the whole time. Because it pulled out no problem. The rest Cracked loose easy and just spin the BP blaster makes it spin easy. Lol. I will try the screw driver method tomorrow if not I have to remove fuel rail to get the puller on tomorrow but I will heat it up tomorrow again and hope it blows them out. It did not when I started it up after I gave up after using impact. The threads are loose just the shaft of glow plug is stuck the nut just spins around it. I will tap on it some more. I think most of these guys fix it first then put it back together and retape to make it look easy. Lol. Thanks for the help.

Hopefully they come out intact. Sometimes the inside breaks off and the outer sleeve is stuck in the head. You will likely have to remove the head to get them out if that is the case. I'm cracking open a cold one for you and will see how much luck I can send your way!

you can repair original "fuse block" for glow plugs.

I just bought the kit from MMS that has the new module for something less to worry about later. If I had only known this engine would eat itself I would have waited!

Total opposite of me...I would struggle with the plug, all 6 would break on me, the tool would never fit and then as I loosened them they would break into pieces and fall into the engine :-)

That's what I was expecting! I've read some people losen the hold down bolts and just drive until they hear it break free. Sometimes for multiple days.

Still working on 1 and 2. The bolt part is spinning. Feels like the tungson is still seized down in the cylinder. Im curious if this means the threads are still in the head or they are out of the threads and the glow plug is a broken 2 part sleeve. Im confused whats even going on under the bolt.

If the bolt is spinning, but it's not coming up, it's probably the same as my #1 cylinder was. I got lucky and an ez out was able to remove it. If you are able to run the engine and try it hot, that can help a lot. If the threads come out and the tube is still stuck, that is not great. Might have to pull the head to remove it.

Currently have the fuel rail moved away and the electrical pulled up to get some extra room I just twisted off the top tungsten plug and got a good look at the threads. 'm going to try to ez out nice and slow and hopefully break them loose. The bolt broke basically finger pressure loosening. Almost didn't feel tight at all when I first started

@@thesolpurpose3109 If it's only 1 and 2 left I would put everything back together and drive around until it's to operating temperature before trying to remove them. They are the easiest to reach and it will really help out to have the block nice and hot.

It's just labeled #2 from that craftsman kit I've had for ages. Those style extractors have been so useful it's worth the $40 or so to just grab a whole kit. They will even remove security lug nuts, really good to have when you buy a car that doesn't come with it's lug key!

In confused what you were doing around 13 mins? Was the top spinning?? And just trying to loosin it up?

With the air ratchet? There were a few where they are loose and turning, but so much junk in built up inside the bore it's almost impossible to just pull them out. Spinning helps them come up easier.

Yea so the bolt head is spinning free but not pulling up. It's hard to see exactly what you are doing there.

@@thesolpurpose3109 The whole glowplug spins. I end up removing these after replacing the head, here is timestamp that shows all the gunk that comes out when you remove them. kzitem.info/news/bejne/oopnvJx9apWKjYosi=r1lQmqR_-YrHjLHv&t=223
